  1. Wow, look at all the time we just saved!
  2. The last time a player hit for the cycle with an ITPHR was in 7/3/1943, Leon Culberson (Red Sox). I think Chief's grandson was at that game.
  3. Must be kilometers per hour. Somebody needs to change the setting on the gun from metric to English.
  4. If Sano had been busting it full speed the whole way he'd have been out by 20 feet instead of 30.
  5. I think Sano was taken by surprise that Glynn was waving him. And with good reason.
  6. I think it's close to time to flip Buxton and Dozier in the batting order.
  7. It's already on the Twins web site.
  8. Can this site add a button that says "agree with this" when one doesn't like what one agrees with?
  9. I'd like to see Buck hit about 20 of those every season.
  10. I'd like to see Buck hit about 20 of those every year.
  11. What kind of man wears turquoise shoes!? I suppose one who is secure in his masculinity. He'd have to be.
  12. The turquoise and rust don't do much for me. Maybe they look better in person.
  13. Yeah, I'm quoting myself and I don't care. The snake head on the left sleeve is pathetically hideous.
  14. Even the hated red jerseys are not the ugliest uniforms on the field. I rate the umpires as best dressed tonight.
  15. When I was in high school I was at a picnic that had an egg toss as one of the activities. The each team consisted of a married couple. The concept, for those who are unaware, is to stand a short distance apart and toss a raw egg to your teammate. Then the person who caught the egg takes a step back and tosses the egg back. This repeats until only one team with an unbroken egg remains. Well, the moderator of this acticity didn't have good control of the process so the couples were proceeding at different rates, so he had everyone stop and said, "OK, all ladies should be holding their eggs!" This got some laughs, of course. When I told a friend of mine what the moderator said he asked, "Did he get a standing ovulation?"
  16. I had a question about the 26-man rule that I answered for myself by an internet search. I wondered whether the 26th player in place for a doubleheader scheduled in advance has to be the same player for both games. The answer is yes. It can't be one player for game 1 and a different player for game 2.
  17. Winner winner, chicken dinner left over from 4 days ago.
  18. Chad Fairchild's calls are another exhibit supporting the automated strike zone.
  19. https://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/26th_Man_Rule If I read the rule correctly that would be the only way we can keep him. But there's no way they'll keep a starting pitcher who wouldn't be able to pitch in the next doubleheader on Monday when they need another position player.
  20. He lost his footing before he got to the ball which caused him not to touch it as it went past him. I agree with the scorer in this instance.
  21. Is Terry Francona ever not chewing something?
  22. He needs singles and BB's to do that. I'm hoping for more doubles and triples too.
  23. A run without a hit. That's what wheels can do for you.
