    Sometime in the next week I predict Mauer DH's, Plouffe plays first and Sano plays third.

    This is the track I expected for Buxton and Sano as well--some time in AAA before being brought to the big club. I think it's good to get him regular starts for Rochester rather than inconsistent appearances in the bullpen for the Twins.

    Why would the Twins trade May? That would only happen if another team is willing to highly overpay. If he's the odd man out he'll be optioned to AAA and be available if and when the major league staff needs him.

    That would be way cool, but I'm pretty sure MLB limits jersey numbers to two digits.

    It will be interesting to see if he keeps that number in the future, and even more interesting to see if Buxton keeps 25. Players don't always keep their first number. Hrbek wore 26 in 1981 before switching to 14 the next year. Justin Morneau wasn't always 33. He wore 27 his first year. Buxton has worn 7 through his entire professional career, and I've wondered if the Twins would be allowed to use 07 if that's what Buxton wanted.

    I favor keeping Milone in the rotation somehow because I think it's good to have at least one left-handed starter. We should have been putting out feelers for a Pelfrey trade several weeks ago. As far as whom to contact about that: it looks like the top four teams in the AL East could be in a logjam the rest of this season and I'd bet one of them would be interested.
