    Selfishly, I would like to see them move the AA team back to the Eastern League. I used to be able to travel to Reading or Trenton to see the RockCats. Granted I can still see the AAA team when they play in Lehigh Valley, but the more interesting prospects always seem to be in AA, and I like the other ballparks better too.

    Things I think I learned from reading this thread: 1. Market value can be determined without the existence of a transaction. In fact, the absence of a transaction is an even better indicator of market value than a transaction would be. 2. Brian Dozier's market value is eroding as of January 2, and will continue to erode on a daily basis up to and including the first day of Spring Training. 3. Time Value of Money concepts are misused more than the word irregardless 4. It is apparently possible to laugh out out out out out loud

    Count me amongst those solidly in the "wait for what you really want" camp. The new front office knows that all other teams are watching to see if they fold in their first big test. No need to put your legs in the air so quickly because you are afraid that your trading partner is going to go away. You don't get what you want and it sends a bad message for the future. In my long experience (obviously not in professional sports) the characteristics that all the best traders have are conviction and patience. I am comfortable waiting this out.

    I am late to the party (story of my life) so let me first say great thread – lots of fun, both on topic and off - and I support the posting of rumors My only concern is that IF this deal does not happen as reported above, it will become “internet fact” that the Dodgers offered DeLeon, Bellinger or Alvarez, plus and the front office either declined or preferred some other package (e.g. DeLeon, Stewart, plus, plus) There are enough real reasons to criticize the organization without adding unsubstantiated ones to the list And I keep refreshing . . .
