    Will always remember Kubel fondly and I liked that we brought him back. But there just wasn't enough left in the tank to last. Best of luck Kubes.

    I like that. If Mauer ever heats back up, leave him 3rd and drop Willingham to 6 and Ploufe to 7.

    They didn't trade prospects for him. They're not hurting anything. They will still need to make an assessment of where they are on 7/31 and trade those who should be traded if they're not in contention. Who's to say Morales won't be one of them?

    Kubel for sure. But the idea that Hicks is going to learn to hit RH pitching at ML level really is pretty absurd. For his own sake he should go down for several weeks.

    Since this may the last game in his career he DH's, we can officially declare him the most potent DH in Twins history...

    I think Hicks goes to AAA when Fuld is back. Gardy wants Santana in the line-up and Escobar is playing well at SS. Plus Hicks really does need to go down and hit RH for a month or two.

    Sorry, I don't get the outrage on this. The decision to eat the contract and cut him is on the GM, not Gardy. He probably shouldn't have phrased it that way, but if you expected him to even start to throw Corriea under the bus, that was never happening.

    Jason Kubel needs to be DFA'd immediately. Thanks for the memories, but it's sad at this point. Call up Hermann or Fryer already and be done with it.
