  1. Zuke has taken a lot of rips throughout the season on these threads- but you gotta say, especially in light of what went down in KC (thanks, Boyer), Minnie would be nowheresville without him this year, even in his dimished form from last season.
  2. Awesome opener, Mr. River. Who was that who put that shaky hand up, anyway? He was probably a street urchin chasing a hoop and stick in his high button shoes and breeches back then. Or maybe Sid.
  3. Ahhhh, Esco. Just in time to go back to work. T'anks!
  4. Heh..... I'm over here acting 'chalant.'
  5. OUch, me too. Ruined the Xmas school break Sr. year at UND. Of course, I don't think the temp ever got above 0 for those couple of weeks, so it was pretty much a wash. Lotta baking soda baths. Hm. I should have one of those again, just for old time's sake. Sooooooothing......
  6. This job-having stuff sucks. Gotta go back to class now. Come on, rain! End this one early!
  7. Wow, Herrera approaching Boyer-like stats on inherited runners.
  8. Thank you, Joe. That's a big run. Now how sweet would a rub-it-in blast be....
  9. Love beating KC, I hope we can hold on to this one. Love it even more when it's against a pitcher who's a total d*ck.
  10. Just checking in- just in time for the rally. I suppose it's my doing. You're welcome. ;-)
  11. So glad they called up Vargas to let him sit on the bench for the last month of the season. How many AB's since his callup? 3? FFS. Just another in a long line of Twinkie management head-scratchers all season long.
  12. Heh- I'm perusing the thread back to front- it's fun that way-- like an old episode of "Time Tunnel." BTW- the cheese gets there by having some in your mouth, and watching Pelfrey pitch.
  13. I'm only "liking" this in sympathy. Wow, a double whammy. 1) a sucky game. 2) You're in Houston for some reason.
  14. Oh, how we all miss Small Sample Size Super-Pelf from earlier this year. He seems to show up about every 3rd or 4th start, and give everyone hope again, then he descends back to Big Sample Size Regular-Pelf. Oh, well.
  15. Just got a break at work, so catching up on the game that I so luckily missed. Actually, it's OK, I have no hair left to tear out, anyway. I do see from the box that 'Gulfa' Tonkin had a Snapper Mow-Em-Down inning. Seems like the grass got a little long in between cuts, tho....
  16. Just had time for a quick check of the game. Ahhh, Pelf. Ahhh, well.
  17. Great stuff, Jeremy. A tip of the cap to you and the gang for all the good work keeping us up on the goings on down on the farm. It's always a good read. Cheers!
  18. Heh... I like that the former Duck was "billed".....
  19. Well, just started new job yesterday, so my TD time is severely diminished. But looks like I'm in time for DINNAH!!!!! Yummmmm..... and it tastes even better when served up by the Sox! Oh, what I wouldn't have given to hear Hawk's silence on that Sano blast! Hmmm... weren't we musing on that earlier?
  20. Bases full, 0 outs? What's the over/under here? 1? I'll take it, if so.
