  1. Oh, drat. Had to go to class- hope there's some Chicken Dinnah left!
  2. Perk-- good inning. Maybe he's back. Velocity seems so, anyways.
  3. Argh. Another multi-pitch at bat against Fien. Didn't bode well last time....
  4. I'm a litlte late with this- no more Tigers for the year. But I came across this one yesterday, and just had to share. Watching a replay of the Twinks/Tigers (1st Buxton HR and Sano triple) and was struck by the terrific banter between ex-Tigers Gibson and Rod Allen- where Rod was talking about his time in Japan. I had no idea he was famous for it!! Try to watch this, but don't be sipping your lunchtime milk carton at the same time...
  5. So, you're saying it's not ALL bad...
  6. What a waste of a great opportunity. Fien, Perk, and especially--- Molly. Thanks, fellas.
  7. Well, at least Feliz is in- maybe there's still a glimmer.
  8. Yet another loss I hang like a necklace of albatrosses on Molly. Wtf, having a less-than-healthy Perk start another inning-- Every. Single. Damn. Game- Molly makes some wtf decisions. PH, BP, just..... wow. Is it part of some secret plan to toughen the team up for next year? Handing them ever-increasing levels of adversity to deal with? Yeh, yeh, yeh, he can't pitch, he can't hit, the players have to do it, yeh, yeh, yeh, I know. But a mgr's job is to put those players in spots where they can succeed, and he just picks the wrong damn guys way too often.
  9. Just a whole slew of tired-looking arms out there. Or do I mean slough.... seems more apropos.
  10. Because he's Pelfrey. And because the 6th is usually a Snapper-Wheels-Come-Off inning.
  11. Oh, Mighty Casey. I step away for a few, and it seems I have to watch you every minute, or you're in some kind of trouble, young man. That's it- no supper for you. And if you deny me a chicken dinnah-- no supper forever!
  12. Hey- Barbarosa had a scoreless inning! Maybe Molly found out that's the way to use him. NEVER NEVER NEVER with any runners on base seems ok...
  13. Do they make that? I may need a couple gallons over here.
  14. Uh-oh-- Big Pelf puts the first two on, after a big inning. What's the over/under? I'm thinking 3..., but I'm an optimist.
  15. Thanks for the article, Seth- I've enjoyed watching young Mr. Rosario all season, especially since it was a bit of a head-scratcher when he got called up, after not exactly lighting a fire in Rochester. But he has really impressed me, and the spark of competitiveness he brings to the lineup is immeasureable. Not only that-- the hands on this guy. Best I've seen in a Twins uni since Carew.
  16. Say, they look nice with the black knee socks, too.
  17. God, the beauty of this game, created by Thee. Nothing like a good game of Ironic-ball.
  18. I went to the Asian Games in Guangzhou back in 2010, and saw the baseball competition. (Surprise, Japan won). I thought they were trying to save $ on scarce baseballs or something, but there was netting completely surrounding the stands except for the outfield. No souvenirs at all. It sucked for that reason, and also for obscuring the sight lines.
  19. OMG- Knock on wood! Amii Stewart version, that hot, hot, gal! One summer, played some town ball in Crookston, back in ummm... '79? I think. They used to play that song for us at the Viking Disco, when we'd walk in after a game, still in uniform! Party down!!!
  20. Hey! I got back just in time for DINNAH!!! I'll wash up- save me a drumstick, Chief!
  21. Good inning from the boys. If only Poof could lose the equivalent of about a 3rd-grader, he might have beat that one out. Still, a great, great play by the 21-year-old.
