    At music festivals you get to see some things you really want to see! But more often than not, you're going to see things you never wish to see again... Chi talking about muddy grounds brings up a memory I wish I never saw again.

    Absolutely. After stressful or unsuccessful days at my current job, I think back to the days when I worked for the city parks department. Still one of the best jobs I've ever had. Working at a baseball field, mowing awesome designs in the OF, and lots of manual labor to make the infield look professional. Can't beat working outside when you're young and free!

    So Romero is at 110 innings so far. His cap before getting shut down completely is probably, what, 150 innings? It sure would be nice if 20-30 of the remaining innings were in Minnesota.

    Concur. There's a rewarding feeling with manual labor... I loved mowing lawn in high school because of the instant results you could see. And I'm sure my dad enjoyed the fact he didn't have to mow the lawn when he came home from work.

    As someone who grew up in the town, it was a lot of fun as a kid riding my bike up to training camp in hopes of getting Randy Moss's autograph! As the years went by, and autographs weren't important anymore, training camp became a bit of nuisance.

    Unfortunately those aren't the "sexy" jobs that millenials want.... Our parents taught us we were special little snowflakes and we could be anything we wanted to be!

    This is rational and I agree 100%. But we've been here long enough to know there will be threads created over the winter raising pitchforks for losing (insert player name here) to the Rule 5 draft.

    Even if you're a terrible team, you'd still want your Rule 5 pick to have some sort of positional flexibility or play a premium position like SS, CF, or C. I don't know if you would want an over his head 1B only on roster all season long. That's a tough pill to swallow even for a 90+ loss team.

    Thanks for putting this together spy! Based off your list, I would let all 5 pending FA's walk. On the arbitration list, I would give Pressly one more chance (on a very short leash) and tender Grossman. There's still a need for a high on-base guy in the lineup and he fills that need at a fairly cheap rate. On the potential cuts list, I would bring up Turley for the bullpen right now so they can decide between him and Boshers for next season. Chargois is my dark horse DFA... 3 seasons lost to arm injuries. Enough is enough. I wouldn't have any issue letting O'Rourke, Palka, and Vargas go either.

    San Diego is a dream city to live in for me... But I know if I would ever live there, I would be broke within a year. Why do you have to be so expensive San Diego?!

    It would be extremely unlikely, but crazier things have happened in baseball. I'll still watch some games the rest of the way. Today just feels like a step back for watching competitive baseball.
