    Yeah I was just coming back to correct this because I didn’t see the “Ultimate TV package” at first. It’s a 3 month promotion then it’ll be more expensive for the T Wolves and Wild seasons.

    Ownership has been consistent since January. They’re right sizing the budget. Dan Hayes wrote another article yesterday that the Twins are not in a position to take on significant salary. A trade isn’t going to bring more people to the ballpark. Getting them back on TV ASAP needs to be the #1 priority.

    I would guess most contending teams have a late 20s early 30s guy in AAA they could give a spot start to. Difference being for us is Dobnak is guaranteed $3 million next year. If any team called showing interest in him he’d be gone instantly.

    I completely understand baseball has changed a lot in recent years. Imagine telling the bulldog starting pitchers of yesteryear like Maddux, Pedro, Clemens, and Randy Johnson we're gonna take you out after 8 innings of 1 hit shutout ball. They would strangle you with making such a stupid decison.

    I like Plouffe's idea. Trade for Chafin then have him and Paddack duel it out for the nickname "Sheriff". Though Chafin has the advantage of looking more like a sheriff with the mustache.

    I'm still not a huge fan of the balanced schedule knowing that we are done playing 2 out of the 4 AL Central opponents by early August.

    It’s only going to get worse too, sadly. The push for maximum velocity is being taught all throughout youth baseball. Kids are gonna have 2 Tommy John surgeries before they’re ever considered a draft prospect.

    If that’s the case we should trade him right now. Because he’s been a sunk cost for our organization since 2021.

    The Rangers of course are heating up so now I doubt they’re selling anyone. I would have loved getting Eovaldi or reach for the stars with Scherzer.

    Probably not. I assume this is a band aid fix to get them back on Comcast/Xfinity for the rest of this season.

    Injuries suck. I had high hopes for Blackmon this year.

    I like the idea of easing him in with an opener and Festa coming to clean up afterwards. We haven’t really used that strategy since Kohl Stewart and other young players I’m forgetting back in 2018.

    I had this series circled on my calendar for several weeks. The Twins proved they can hang with the best team in the league without Lewis, Correa, and Miranda. I am way more confident in the team’s outlook the rest of the season now.

    Is there any cause for concern that Flaherty was a rental acquisition for Baltimore last year and struggled immensely? 9 games 7 starts, 6.75 ERA 4.89 FIP in 34 innings. He played badly enough to not be in their playoff rotation.
