  1. It's a change up grip (circle change)
  2. Haley has been awful Would have no chance if he wasn't a rule 5 guy The FO was 100% wrong taking him. There are much better guys that have been in the organization a while. Watched him Sunday against the Red Sox, 87-90, mostly 88...nothing special
  3. John Ryan Murphy is an advanced catch and throw guy who can't hit, Castro will just give us a left-handed versiin
  4. DJ Baxendale Aaron Sleggers
  5. When it comes to relief pitchers, I'm surprised to see Alan Busenitz as "depth" but no mention of Melotakis, Baxendale or Wimmers. In your article about the 40 man roster you include both Melo and Bax
  6. DJ Baxendale should get a look in Spring Training and an opportunity some time in 2017. This guys numbers were lights out in AAA and somehow mediocre results by Wimmers, Dean and Albers were rewarded instead. Should have been called up before Sept 1...just as Seth pointed out that Bax had every right to be upset when Wimmers was called up. Bax had a 1.1 era while Wimmers had a 3.5 Don't even get me started with Dean/Albers 5+ era's in Rochester. Then somehow he doesn't even get a Sept 1 call. In typical Twins fashion, we will probably loose this guy in the Rule 5 Draft because we protected non-prospects like Dean, Albers, Shaffer and Beresford
  7. You're a smart*** Last month Seth admitted to leaving several players out, he added them after the fact
  8. Somehow you leave Baxendale out every time you do these August: IP: 16 ERA: 1.13 K's: 20
  9. Baxendale's numbers out of the pen are better than all those guys you mentioned His performance has earned him a sept call up and the opportunity to compete for a spot in the Twins pen in 2017
  10. Laughable..... The Twins do such a bad job of developing and promoting prospects that if the had taken either Bennentendi or Fulmer, neither would be in Minnespolis right now. Bennentendi would be in AA and Fulmer would be in High A
  11. Baxendale was a 10th round pick He did not struggle the last 2 years at AA, he was a mid-season All-Star at AA the past 2 years He has flourished out of the pen where his fringy stuff plays up
  12. I would like to the following added: Wheeler, Wimmers, Baxendale, Garver, Walker and Palka They are the most deserving productive-wise from AAA
  13. Ryan O'Rourke This award probably should have gone to the entire Red Wings bullpen. They have been unhittable
  14. Baxendale started his bullpen debut with Rochester going 13 appearances without an earned run. In July he only gave up runs in 1 of 11 outings. Current Rochester numbers are 15.1 pitched, 9 hits, 4 bb, 16 k's, 1.15 era 0.78 WHIP Not bad for a guy who was a starter before his promotion
  15. For the record, The run allowed by Baxendsle was on a fielders choice not a single Both he and Walden extended their scoreless innings streaks
  16. Bax seems to be thriving in his bullpen role That's where I also thought he could be a big league contributor Long relief or 7th inning guy
  17. Saw on Twitter that when Mientkiewcz came to the mound to take Baxendale out last night at the All-Star game, that he told him he had been promoted to AAA.
  18. Baxendale to AAA Martinez or Albers released Hurlbut released Gonsalves and Jay to AA LeBlanc to AA
  19. Baxendale deserved to be named Twins Pitcher of the Day. When it is too close to call you should you the pitchers game score to decide. The game score shows no bias. Jay's game score tonight was a 68 Baxendale's game score was a 74 This was one of the top game scores for any Twins Minor League pitcher this season
  20. The two clubs go back at it on Friday night, with the Shuckers looking to take a two-game lead in the five-game series to open the 2016 campaign. RHP Javi Salas will make his Biloxi debut and face off against Chattanooga's D.J. Baxendale. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. and can be heard on the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network starting at 6:50 p.m. with the Beau Rivage Biloxi Shuckers Pregame Show. Fans can listen to the game on WGCM 1240 AM, 100.9 FM and the TuneIn Radio App. The game is also available on MiLB.tv

  22. You listed DJ Baxendale as starting the season on the DL for Chattanooga. The article from last night's game on the Lookouts website lists him as tonight's starting pitcher ?!?!?!?
  23. What is Darnell's potential future role in the bigs
  24. Rogers will be a reliever Darnell might be a reliever as well Rogers need experience pitching out of the pen
