  1. Are you serious? We have the 3rd best record in the AL. We lost one game to the Reds and it is time to throw in the towel?
  2. With a bunch of MLB players already getting the virus and since cases have skyrocketed I just don’t see it happening .
  3. Ask the players and the owners how losing a season of baseball did for their overall profit? How long did it take last time for baseball to rebound? Gimme a break.
  4. Wasn’t this the series against New York were Mauer hit the ball down the left field line only to have it be called foul when replays clearly showed it was fair?
  5. Until the Twins actually beat the Yankees in a playoff game they are both the best of anything.
  6. Bailey is in his 15th year pitching and has had his whole arm pretty much replaced. He is a rental and hopefully can win a couple of games so we can dump him at the end of May because of how bad he is.
  7. I had very low expectations regarding the Twins and this off-season. There has been so many years that the Twins made zero moves and did nothing to improve the team except fill holes with players well out of their prime. It seems to me the Twins are finally turning the corner and realize if you indeed make your team competitive you will fill your coffers. What is a huge deal about this off-season is the signing of Donaldson. This might be the corner we are turning when it comes to the lack of superstar free agency signings and the proof that the orginization finally wants to stay competitive. The only reason on why I would not give them an A instead of a B is because they again are really rolling the dice with our starting pitching. We signed a bunch of pitchers who are on their downswing in their careers. This only is about free agency signings and not Twins who were on the current roster. Saying that it doesn't mean they won't go after anyone in free agency in July but it is cause for concern. What makes me optimistic is that this team made itself better when it comes to defense and power. Of we can keep that lineup healthy we should easily win at least 100 games this year and make a run in the playoffs hopefully breaking our playoff curse.
  8. Great point but why not at least attempt to be more harsh and than when it doesn't work you can have the punishment that you have now?
  9. Complete bs. Only reason for the regret is because he along with that cheating team got caught. The punishment was a joke and the commish has zero clue when dealing with anything baseball. I will stay on topic but times like these I want Selig in there.
  10. The guy is made of glass but I don't see a reason not to sign him.
  11. I just don't find the need to trade away top prospects right now when the asking price is so high. Wait to see what we have and if we need a pitcher get him in July.
  12. Yes you wait and put trust in that last year's 101 wins was not a fluke. You really didn't take away any key players that would make you believe that we couldn't win that many games again. The only way I would like to see a trade now is to get rid of Mr.Byron Glass Buxton. We should of done it last year and we should still do it this year.
  13. I believe that would be a much bigger punishment than any type of fine.
  14. They got caught cheating and got a slap on the wrist. Should of banned them from post season for 2 years.
  15. Trade Buxton and be done with it. How many years are we going to continue to say that he will learn not to run into the wall going 25mph? I love his intensity but I also believe he is made of glass. His stock is still high and it is time to move on and aquire a pitcher who is decent for him.
  16. I can't believe and I completely will eat crow on this. I consider this to be a good off-season now. Yup we didn't get a impact starter but we got someone who can play good D and smash that ball.
  17. He does not have a good opinion of the Twins and will hit free agecny. You can't keep treading water and not trying to improve it.
  18. If you the Twins don't sign Berrios with a long term contract it will be another kick in the nuts to us fans.
  19. While this is well written this is another puff piece. Year after year the Twins management has mentioned they are going to go after quality pitchers that can propel us to the next level and year after year it never happens. This organization simply can not stand idle when the White Sox make substantial moves to improve their team and let us not forget about Cleveland who still has a team that is comparable to the Twins. No one could of guessed that the Twins would of won 101 games last season which was exciting but what is not exciting is how management has done nothing to improve our chances in reaching the main goal and that is the world series. I don't buy into the BS that you have to overspend to get a ring but I also don't buy into the BS that this off-season is even close to successful in regards to improve this team Enough of the constant excuses we hear from reporters, Twin's management, and fans that believe that the Twins off-season has been successful and in contrast actually has been a complete failure.
  20. If he is good and wants more than 20 dollars not a chance he signs with the Twins
  21. Why would someone want to come here knowing that the core team will turnover in 2 years ?
  22. I wouldn't say that not spending money results in not winning a world series. The last 10 winners with the exception of the Royals were the top 10 payrolls in baseball.
  23. I was hoping for Donaldson but not at that price. Now the Twins are pretty much back to square one unless they plan to dump some prospects or key players for rental chips. They need to just go with what they have and hopefully be able to pick someone up who is decent in mid July but I won't be holding my breath.
