  1. We're very lucky to only be down by one. Let's go! (If Gardner had been running out of the box he would have had an inside the parker ... and then the bone-headed play to end the inning)
  2. A nice quote from a CBS article on the Twins today: "These aren't the little piranhas Twins teams past -- these are more like sharks."
  3. I find it interesting that the Houston TV commentators never mention how badly Marwin G. is hitting. They just don't seem to notice it.
  4. Marwin would be warmer if he were sitting in the dugout all night. Just thinking of what is best for him.
  5. Just learned that George Springer has been disciplined for calling our favorite umpire Angel Hernandez a "f*ing c*cksucker," which MLB is calling an anti-gay slur. Man, I just think it's an f*cking insult!
  6. Because the season started in March it got me thinking. One hundred years ago opening day was on April 23rd. So it's not so much the weather as an industry trying to squeeze all it can out of a season.
  7. How many crickets do you think are there?
  8. How many people do you think are there?
  9. Buxton's failure to bunt cost them a run, probably.
  10. And .263 BA is tops of all active Twins players ... (Just discovered "Daily Matchups" website.)
  11. Polanco is slumping. Snap out of it, Polanco!
  12. I appear to agree with you.
  13. I believe Logan Morrison was healthy during his time with the Twins. He injured his hip in mid-August.
  14. Poor teams lose on days they're flat. Good teams find ways to win. April is a springboard to May. Cliches jump off the tongue like liners off Jorge Polanco's bat.
  15. I hope they didn't t hope to roll out of bed and expect to win because they've been playing well and are playing the Orioles. 3 disastrously lazy defensive lapses.
  16. http://twinsdaily.com/index.php?app=fo According to Baseball Reference Kepler this year is 1-7 (.143) on ball hit to left field.
  17. And ... home runs don't count towards BABIP ... What a weird stat.
  18. "Oh my gosh! Goodbye, home run into the Minneapolis night!" Orioles broadcast.
  19. 1964: KANSAS CITY, May 2 (AP) —Tony Oliva, Bob Allison, Jimmie Hall and Harmon Killebrew tied a major league record with four consecutive home runs in the 11th inning and powered the Minnesota Twins a 7‐3 victory over the Kansas City Athletics tonight.
  20. 1) The Orioles broadcast does not have the visible strike-zone thing. Yeah! 2) Kepler batting lead-off continues to puzzle me.
  21. I just keeping seeing him swing and miss on sliders away.
