I've wanted Marcum for awhile as well. It sucks because I haven't heard the Twins name when it comes to him. As for Diaz, It's worth the risk. Can't be any worse then Nishioka...

We've all talked alot about how we want to Twins to sign a big name starting pitcher. But the more I've thought about it, I can't think of the last time we signed a good starting pitcher! Carl Pavano does not count since we got him in a trade. Can anyone think of the last new starting pitcher the Twins signed that actually made a difference? And with that why should we think this year will be any different.

I'm willing to give Plouffe a chance a 3rd this year. He was still adjusting to the spot last season. Plus if he has a good offensive season again it will help.

I like them! They are very well done.

Correia! lol I honesty don't see it happening. More of a dream.

Huh the ESPN article I read said different. Interesting.

I've heard the Angels are maybe going to move Trumbo. The Twins should go after him.

I was at the game againist Baltimore when Revere made that catch. The place went nuts. Definatly the best play I've seen in person.

Can I get any props please? Wow...thats one hell of a call. On topic I'm not changing my season tickets. I plan on going to all the All-Star activites in 2014.

If we don't sign Marcum, or at least someone else decent, this is going to be sad. Maybe if we have $20 million extra we'll shock everyone and sign Sanchez or Hamilton.

I orignally wanted Marcum and McCarthy. I thought we'd have a good chance at both and they would be in our price range. Now that McCarthy is gone I'd like to see Marcum and Lannan. We'll see what happens. I have a feeling this week will say alot.

Mr. Rosterman, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points. And may God have mercy on your soul. You sir, have just won the internet. And yes I also see the penguin.

He's signed for one more year at 1.5 million. Maybe for a minor leaguer we could get him.

Ok maybe I didnt word that the greatest...he's listening to offers for those two. If we get a good offer I wouldn't be suprised if they take it.

Terry Ryan said a little bit ago that the Twins are still shopping Willingham and Morneau if we can get more starting pitching. Personally i think we'd need to get a front end starter to move either of them. I don't want to see either go.

We all knew he was going to end up a manager somewhere soon. Think he'll walk through the clubhouse naked again? That would be something.

Yesterday while the A's were winning the division, Neshek and he wife lost there newborn son less the a day after he was born. Our thoughts are with him and his family right now. Here's a link to the story: http://www.startribune.com/sports/twins/172601141.html

Does this suprise anyone? If you have heard the White Sox announcers you'll understand. They are terrible. I think it's funny people call our guys homers. While they are at times, at least its not this bad, FYI if you don't know what I'm talking about watch a White Sox game. They're on WGN now and then. It's actually funny its so bad.

Thank you for spending time on this! Simply amazing.

Unless we can get a pitcher like King Felix or Verlander trading Mauer would be horrible. It would completely kill the casuel fan base.

The one day I decide to be nice and switch with co-worker so he can have the night off, you guys plan something! I wish I could come, but I'll be stuck at work

This is probably why. The press needs to be careful what the say if they want to stay on the good side of the team As for why we keep doing this I really don't know. Thankfully if he does have to go on the DL it doesn't have to be for a full 15 days, but it's still a huge waste of a bench spot.

At least he cleared waivers. I didn't want to see him go. Time to see what Carson can do!

I saw a thread in another section of the forum talking about best and worst stadium names, and it made me think about what the new Vikings stadium will be called. Personally I would like a local company to buy the rights, but besides Target would else would step up? While I like Target Center and Target Field, we really dont need another Target stadium. My first thought was Best Buy but not with all their issues. 3M maybe? On another topic would else wants to see a retractable roof? I would love for us to get a MLS team.

I don't get all the hate for Ponder. He only played half of the season and he wasn't terrible! This season will be make or break for him, but at least give him a chance. You're writing him off before he can show what he can do with a full off-season under his belt.
