    We need another workhorse, and I have no issue with this signing as long as this isn't the only pitcher we sign.

    No trade pissed me off more then this one. When I first heard we were thinking about trading Hardy U thought they were crazy. His 2010 wasn't even that bad. He was the SS we had been looking for for a long time. And we gave him away for nothing! Hoey was a massive bust. SS is our weakest spot, and the guy we had is killing it in Baltimore. Don't know how long it will take me to get over this one...

    We had no one else to play center! Mastro has been hurt and the only other option was Joe Benson. And that was not going to happen.

    Right move, just probably not for the right player. Ramos was expendable. He would have been traded sooner or later. It would have been nice to get someone who would have stayed long term.

    This. If we lose Morneau, we have no one else who can play 1B. Parmelee has not shown enough to be a full time 1B.

    I think he'll get there this season. It will be close though.

    Completely the correct call. It would have been nice to see him get the shutout. After just missing that double play you could tell it was falling apart. If he didn't give up a 4 pitch walk to the next batter he might have stayed in, but going through the heart of the order at that time you have to take him out.

    If he was throwing a no hitter or a perfect game while being up by 5 runs I could see him getting pissed, but not in this case. No way.

    Dustin Morse just tweeted a few minutes ago that the new Mauers have been born! Emily and Maren Mauer, both girls Congrats to the Mauers!

    Hicks could have tried to slide, but we have no way of knowing if he'd be safe or not. Would have been more exciting at least. Speaking of Vavra, I think he's done a pretty good job at third. I can't think of many other times that he sent someone that he shouldn't have.

    With Burton struggling, Fien has been good in the 8th. He can get strikeouts in key situations as well.

    Fletcher already told Cullen they wouldn't be able to resign him. It's too bad since he's still a great player. Looks like he might be going to Nashville. I like all the other moves so far as well. I think the Clutterbuck trade will pay off even though I hate seeing Cal leave. Ohh and PMB to the Islanders. No real loss there. He was never the same player after the concussions.

    He should at this point. If we don't win over 70 games I don't think he'll have a job next year.

    I really don't think they are in our heads right now. Burton is continuing to struggle. At this point I wonder if we need a new 8th inning guy. At least until Burton gets it together. I think it should be Fien. He's be pitching well and can strike people out.

    Great blog as usual. I think we need a rant like this about the most recent worse trade in Twins history... J.J. Hardy to Baltimore.

    Once Hicks is called up I think Thielbar will be sent down. Yes he has been doing great, but the team is not even using him. Plus we really need to get rid of the extra pitcher. Thomas has earned the right to be the backup CF.

    Perkins at least has a shot, but there are always a few really good pitchers that don't make the team.
