    I would be very interested to find out how many times since the advent of the extra inning ghost runner 1 run has been enough to win. Every one seems to assume 1 is not enough, and I wonder how true that is. On a related note, the White Sox have 6-8 due up in the 10th--feels like now would be a good time to play for 1, especially if you're going to bring Duran back out.

    What's to learn is that you don't need to hit the ball hard so long as you make very little soft contact (Luis is 8th in MLB at just under 10%) and are elite at making contact in general (Luis is 1st in MLB). It's very hard to do both of those things, so what's learnable is that Luis Arraez is really freaking good at hitting.

    Take notes kids. What does Luis Arraez do before stepping into the box? Check for where the fielders are.

    The Sox committed an error on Gordon's routine ground ball to first. Gordon stupidly thought he could stretch it to a double, realized he couldn't, but was too far off first, and so got thrown out trying to get back.

    The Sox fielding is pathetic. Fortunately for them, the Twins baserunning is even more pathetic. Honestly, why would Gordon think he could advance to second on a ball in shallow right field?

    If the Twins are good at strategy, they will deliberately look to take pitches this inning. Goal is to put Lynn on 80 pitches by inning's end.
