Yes on Hand so long as it's a prospect outside the top 10. Otherwise I'd rather see what Hildenberger, Busenitz, Curtiss, Reed, and Melotakis can do. No on Neshek, unless it's a prospect outside the top 30, like Amaurys Minier.
Except that the Twins need a starter for Friday, which is Santiago's spot. If they're planning on calling a starter up, why bring Busenitz up for the two days when you have your best starters going, and you're already carrying 8 relievers? My guess is the Twins just decided to do a bullpen game on Friday--if not, it means they are just throwing darts at the wall in terms of call-ups.
I wonder if Falvine doesn't want the public pushing for a trade to make the playoffs, because they think we're a year or two away, so they have instructed Molitor to lose a game here or there but make it look good.
Joe Mauer is currently slashing .304/.382/.444/.826 against righties. Jorge is currently slashing .250/.306/.357/.664 against righties. I get needing to keep Esco's bat in the lineup, but do we need to keep Polanco's at-bat in the lineup so bad that we're willing to sacrifice over 150 points of OPS?
Looking forward to the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th is exactly as much looking forward as the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. Unless what you meant to say is you can only look forward to two similar things in succession before needing a break.
