  1. I agree that heads should roll, but will they???
  2. That's nothing more than wishful thinking.
  3. I think that the snowball would have a better chance succeeding.
  4. I'd prefer that they'd teach both, among many other things!
  5. ... and it likely wouldn't even be a competitive series.
  6. I think we can basically call this the ending the season, with no fight and barely a whimper. I think I've had about as much as I can tolerate.
  7. I don't necessarily disagree with that. However, if the Pohlads want to avoid a possible mutiny by players and fans alike, they might think they don't have a real choice in the matter.
  8. So, what else is new in the Twins' world?
  9. I suspect that Falvey and Levine are likely safe, because they're doing the Pohlad's bidding. Deservedly or not. On the other hand, Rocco could well be the sacrificial lamb in this situation.
  10. And swinging at a lot of pitches we have no business swinging at.
  11. As opposed to this team which appears, for all intents and purposes, to have already thrown in the towel for the season. Just pathetic!
  12. That last statement is a mindset I've had regarding this team since long before this season began. It appears to me that the profit margin largely overrules seemingly everything else.
  13. I think another factor to consider is that the overall "quality" of most of so-called fringe players on the roster generally leaves a lot to be desired. I doubt that Rocco has a large say on the composition of the roster he has to work with from game to game and that means that the replacement for that situation is oftentimes less than optimal. I view it more as he's throwing things up against the wall, in the hopes that something will stick, because he doesn't have very good options available to him most of the time. To me, that's primarily a fault of the ownership and front office and not directly him. You can only play with what you have and Rocco oftentimes doesn't have much quality to play with. I think that has a lot to do with the continued Margot pinch hitting opportunities, among other things. While a valid concern, the lack of trust he appears to sometimes have with his younger players is a different story line to be debated separately.
  14. It's almost like 2 teams who don't want to win playing each other.
  15. I'm predicting a walk-off win for the Sox. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I will be.
