  1. Sure would be nice if we could hit a homer with runners on base more than once or twice a month. Maybe that's just asking way too much from the team.
  2. I'm watching on the Reds channel. Don't know who their TV guys are, but I think they're pretty decent.
  3. And even 2 runs likely won't be enough to win this game.
  4. Well, that was absolutely pathetic. Guessing that Houston needs no more than 2 batters to plate the winning run here.
  5. He didn't listen to you. I'm sensing a 10 inning loss here.
  6. Didn't take very long to hit their way out of that promising start. AARGH. Now hitless in their last 12 attempts with a RISP. Sounds about par for the course.
  7. Good chance he'll hang around at least until Keaschall returns.
  8. Is Rocco certifiably insane? Pulling SWR after pitching like he did for 5 innings! Makes no sense at all to me.
  9. The signs for today are not pointing up, at least prior to game time. Maybe this will all play out a lot better than I'm anticipating it will. Time will tell.
  10. Can't argue with that thought. Plus, it is quite unfortunate for both parties.
  11. No. I've felt that way for quite a while. Due mostly to generally poor hitting on a game to game basis, combined with a rash of injuries to the pitching staff, mediocre defense (apart from Correa and Buxton), poor situational awareness, and oftentimes poor baseball fundamentals. An occasional win or a decent effort in a loss isn't enough to change my viewpoint right now.
  12. Right now, we're nothing more than a glorified AAA team, sad to say.
  13. Maybe becoming too muscle bound is part of the problem.
  14. Because the baseball gods have decreed it as such.
  15. And after he finally got his batting average over the Mendoza line. Sigh.
  16. Now they're just rubbing it in. Okert in for the 9th. (France's solo homer notwithstanding.)
  17. Problem is that, except for their best prospects, most of our players are either untradeable or undesirable to most other teams, meaning we wouldn't get much for them.
  18. You really think that the Pohlads would accept that course of action? I don't.
  19. Now why would we think that'll help, outside of the fact that he hasn't pitched since last Sunday?
