  1. And I think he's coming very close to succeeding in that goal.
  2. With Gasper now in SP, he's trying his best at becoming our next version of Mr. Automatic Out. And i think he's succeeding. I also don't care if some of the outs can be considered as "loud", they still count as outs.
  3. I know that Bubic is a pretty good lefty and that we're generally not good against lefties, but 2 hits at this stage of the game is absolutely pathetic. Is anyone in the lineup capable of striking anything close to fear in the minds of an opponent? I'm inclined to think that the answer is No.
  4. Would be nice, but definitely not betting on it, either.
  5. Well, we got 1 back in the 7th. That helps.
  6. Apart from Royce's solo homer, they haven't really had anything to cheer about yet today.
  7. You really think Rocco would do something like that, even with only 21 pitches in 2 innings?
  8. As good a guess as any. Fortunately, Peralta is or is about done, with over 90 pitches already.
  9. If we can get him out by the 5th or 6th, maybe we have a chance against a decent, but not overpowering, Milwaukee bullpen. Of course, our pen needs to also hold up their side of the deal, too.
  10. Maybe Alcala, but even that's a huge risk of everything blowing up on us.
  11. It also means that it'll likely be a long day for the bullpen. Good thing they're fairly well rested coming into today.
  12. I'm guessing that when Vazquez sits next, someone like McCusker is the DH, depending on whether the opposing starter is a righty or a lefty.
  13. I'm guessing that the Coulombe injury probably gets back-dated a day or two. Doesn't help the situation a lot, but every little bit helps. Hope the injury is not too severe and that he can return by that time.
  14. Makes perfect sense to me, especially with Tonkin already moved there a couple of days ago.
  15. Where have we seen that scenario before? Kinda nice that it happens to other teams, too.
  16. Pagan pitched a scoreless ninth for the save. Final score 5-4 for the Reds over the Guards.
