  1. FanGraphs has Boushley listed as tomorrow's projected starter....
  2. So, looking at the BP usage chart, who goes to St. Paul for relief help? Or do we just rely on Castillo, Okert, Thielbar and maybe Staumont tomorrow.
  3. "Best athlete's on the field" - Bert Blyleven circa 1996-2020
  4. Sometimes the pitch calling sequence is very questionable...
  5. There also seems no set approach at the plate, certainly no 2-strike approach and many times, the pitch calling sequence is very questionable.
  6. True or not, but this team fully believes that a pitcher can't face a batter 3 times in one game, left-handed batters can't face left-handed pitching, get-away-day line-ups are a real thing, there are no set roles in the BP and that veterans will play and fail despite the stats saying they are horrible.
  7. Coming into the Twins series his slash line was ..200/..261/.257 ((.519 OPS), he's now up to .214/.272./297 (.569) after his 3-5, 1 2B, 1 HR, and 3 RBI performance....
  8. Ok. According to Baseball Savant it had an xBA of .580, wanted to find out for sure.
  9. Terrible baserunning by Miranda or good/great play by Cruz, believe it or not I can't watch the game live...
  10. Pretty typical this season, guys hitting .200 or less with a similar slugging percentage become superstars for 3 or 4 games against the Twins...
  11. You can't stop Rowdy Tellez, you can only hope to contain him...
  12. Followed by a passed ball, it's literally a scoring frenzy...
  13. A bases loaded walk to end the scoreless streak and a force out to pile on.... 😜
  14. In a season of bizarre line-ups, this is one of the more bizarre... And no Lewis, again. If he can't play everyday but Castro can, he should still be in AAA.
  15. So, are we going to allow MLB to stop at the electronic strike zone when so many judgment calls can go either way? Check swings and fair/foul calls on balls hit directly over the base have led to at least as many game changing events as missed ball or strike calls, but can not be challenged under the current replay system, but foul tips and hit by pitches can.

  17. And suddenly we are having players (and interpreters) being investigated for gambling on baseball....
  18. As I stated the other day, if Lewis can't play every day he should have stayed on the rehab assignment longer.
  19. Rocco needs to be a little like Boone here, the umpire is squeezing Paddack tighter and tighter and expanding the Yankees pitchers strike zone. Time to WTF the home plate umpire or this team go's limping into Pittsburgh not knowing what's a strike and what's a ball.
