  1. It's a slow, steady process; Cleveland is 5-5, 10-10 & 16-14 over their last 10, 20 & 30 games, Minnesota is 6-4. 13-7, & 20-10 over the same period. Inching ever closer...
  2. I don't know, gotta follow KCs lead and go for the sweep....just sayin'
  3. Trade deadline adds: Lewis, Topa & Stewart from IL Lopez returns to second half 2023 form
  4. And the replay clearly showed he did not swing....
  5. How is Farmer not on first. Knuckles and wood don't exactly sound the same....
  6. 12 in a row, 13 straight on base...
  7. A little retaliation for Altuve getting plunked last night?
  8. Down 8 in the bottom of the 9th is a very acceptable time to PH, even for a guy with 10 straight hits. And TD is bent out of shape because the PH (Martin) got a hit!! I'm more upset that Lopez went out for the 6th. Bring Alcala in to start the 6th with a 4-3 lead and it might be a different game, perhaps even a W for the good guys. Putting Winder in what was a 2 run game was more or less throwing in the towel, giving him a second inning was plain irresponsible. As for how much momentum scoring 7 runs in the bottom of the 9th may give the team, remember, Houston scored 10 runs from the 6th inning on. The bigger take-away from the 9th may be that Correa took Hader deep in a game he shouldn't have been pitching in.
  9. Keith hitting Twins pitching a little to well the last couple of games
  10. With Buxton having the day off I would rather see Castro in CF and Martin at 2B instead of the other way around. Also, an odd time to give Santana a day off, but Margot has better numbers against Maeda. We'll see how it works out.
  11. .120/.237/..300 is job-losing-worthy!! (sarcasm) The Twins got them back by signing Castro. (not sarcasm) Festa not looking very good (also not sarcasm)
  12. Lee promoted to the big club. Glad to be wrong (I figured Julien or Wallner would get the call).
  13. Julien or Wallner will be called up before Lee, they are both on the 40 man roster, its the "Twins way".
  14. I forget that sarcasm doesn't translate well on a forum!! Someone stated on a different post that Buxton never walks and and another suggested that all he does is chase/swing at sliders out of the zone with no chance of hitting them. It was also stated that his speed and defense aren't what they once were... oh sorry, sarcasm doesn't work on a forum. He has showed great defense and his speed on the base paths has directly led to some big runs/big innings and given the Twins offense a spark.
  15. The team will drag it out until Thursday or Friday before making a decision, then they will call up Wallner or Julien because they are on the 40 man roster.
  16. If only Buxton learned how to take a BB and not K, he might be able to score some runs and help the team win some games...
  17. Kind of like Buxton early in his career....
  18. I think he was only including seasons the team was contending for a play-off spot at the deadline. 2021 was a good deadline year because that year brought back Ryan, SWR and Martin who are contributing to our current play-off run.
  19. Agreed. Twins 3B have made 8 throwing errors; Lewis 4, Miranda 3 and Castro 1. Julien at 2B and Castro at SS are the only other IF to have throwing errors, with 1 each. Twins pitchers have made 4 throwing errors and Twins catchers have 5, but I did not look up how/where those occurred.
