His hot and cold streaks pretty much average out, let's just hope he's hot when the team needs it most (October)...
I think the goal needs to be 2 of 3 against the Cubs, split with Cleveland and 2 of 3 against KC. 3 of 4 against Cleveland would be awesome, but not if it comes at the expense of losing to the Cubs or KC.
I see Julien was mentioned as having a multi-hit game (2), but not for having multiple K's (3). For the series he was 8-25 (.320 BA) with 5 BB's (.433 OBP) and 2 doubles (.400 SLG), but also had 13 K's (43.3%). Progress for sure, but tempered with frustration.
Ryan and Ober should not pitch on the same day (Friday) since there is no day off until the 22nd. The team would need a BP game sometime during the KC series, probably started by Dobnak.
When Ober's good, he' very good; when he's bad, he's horrible.
15 GS allowing 3 R or less - 94 IP, 21 ER, 2.01 ERA, 9 HR, 104/22 K/BB, team record 9-6
5 GS allowing 4 R or more - 20 IP, 27 ER, 12.15 ERA, 8 HR, 17/5 K/BB, team record 2-3
Evidently the team listened to offers for Kepler, Duran and Margot.
I am assuming nobody wanted Margot.
The Dodgers were interested in Duran, but the Twins wanted MLB players not the prospects LA offered.
Either no interest or the right deal didn't materialize for Kepler. I don't blame the FO for not just giving him away.
