  1. Agreed, There may be some that will say he is paid to drive in runs, hit HR's, etc..., not to bunt. However, the flip to this is that he is not being paid to go 0 - August. Maybe he rushed back from the IL, maybe not, but hitters need a good base to be successful and something seems wrong.
  2. I think I have watched this train wreck enough for awhile, no longer going prioritize watching/listening to this team work their way down the standings. Will still check in here periodically and check the box scores, but it's time for a break....
  3. Surprised to see Buxton in the line-up, couple that with Miranda starting and that means no Urshela. Cave for the current version of Kepler is probably a wash. At least Beckham isn't getting a Sunday/Getaway/Giveaway start....
  4. Today's game looms a little bigger than it would if they had won last last night, as 2 of 3 against the Angels is a must. The kid pitching for the Angels has bad numbers, but he's in a pattern of having a good start following a bad start, and his last start was a bad one. Plus he's left-handed. I am going to assume Buxton gets today off, but Correa needs to play as do both Miranda and Urshela. And, right-handed or not, Beckham needs to sit. Archer also needs to at least match his last start, as Duran and Lopez are both probably not available today, so the fewer pitchers used to, hopefully, get to Fulmer, the better.
  5. Pulls Bundy early, leaves Pagan in.....
  6. Angels announcers wondering if that ball hit off of Ursela's glove....
  7. And again I believe we see how much Buxton's knee is hurting, in the past I don't think the 3B has time to look the runner back AND get Buxton at first....
  8. Looked to me like he was stealing also. He also didn't touch second base on his way back to first, so there would have been a DP no matter what.
  9. He's missed a ton of calls tonight. The pitch that just struck Kepler out has been called a ball 50% of the time. Hard enough to play this game as it is, don't need to fight the umpire as well (both teams).
  10. He's missed a lot more than that....
  11. RISP - 0-8 LOB - 10 Sooner or later this needs to be remedied...
  12. It was ONE hanging curveball to Ohtani, he doesn't miss many of those. The BP has thrown 6 innings, given up 1 run and K'd 11 over the last 2 nights. The sky is not falling.
  13. I think that shows us all we need to know about Buxton's knee. He could not jump to catch that one.
  14. Kepler could have used a little luck there...
  15. Another "screamer".... And another one of those meaningless RBI
  16. You sir are correct, according to Baseball Savant's illustrator.
  17. Because he is the starting RF, and the Angels are throwing lefties all weekend.
  18. Have not seen anything about Winder starting BP sessions or rehab assignment, but he was already with St. Paul and is on their IL so information may not be as readily available. Feel free to correct me if anybody has any info. Thanks.
