  1. Keaschall seems to make that play more often than anybody else the Twins have put at 2B this season...
  2. "Buxton is one of the better breaking ball hitters in the game".... as he chases a sweeper that was a WP
  3. He was 5-4-2 career against the Rangers and never faced them in the play-offs.... Now if you had just said Rangers, yes, he defeated all of the teams from the Iron Range Conference from 1978-1980....
  4. I'll agree that the game isn't played the same, but I'm okay with the C not getting into a long rundown to end the inning. Not running hard to first or admiring a deep fly ball, I also agree should not happen and should not be allowed to continue to happen. It happens so rarely however that guys that run hard every play are pointed out as being different, i.e. he hustles every play, he plays hard, he doesn't take a play off, etc...
  5. But Martin was expected to make a tougher play in LF earlier....
  6. Do you intentionally say stupid **** to get a rise out of others or do you just say stupid ****? Watch any other team play a game or two and if you see that play that's how it play's out almost every time. The player who takes the big turn to draw the throw to allow the run to score is generally thrown out without much of a "rundown" occuring.
  7. Growing up in I Falls I got to see Casey play against us a lot...
  8. All kinds of hate for Martin and others, but Buxton gets a pass for Correaing it to first on Bichette's error? Even Provus said Buxton picks his spots to run hard. Can't be on Martin's *** and give Buck a pass.
  9. But question Martin's? Martin made the right call, kept it in front of him and did not miss it for the inside the park GS.
  10. So I'm sure everybody on here thinks Buxton should have charged in and caught that one as well....
  11. Martin made the right play, the ball died as it was off the end of the bat. If he goes for it and misses, it's an inside the park GS.
  12. Easy catch from behind your computer screen. Martin made the right play, if he misses it, it's an inside the park GS...
  13. Understood. His B-R page states he was born in Tampa, FL on 2-27-84, his Wikipedia page states he was born in Washington, D.C. on 2-27-84, only the Shadow knows...
  14. The next Brian Harper?? His career blossomed late with the Twins, basically handed the starting C job half way through his age 28 season; had a pretty good 6 year run in MN....(shoulder shrug, got nothing else!!)
  15. Tonkin at only 9 pitches, does he get the chance at the BS in the bottom of the 9th?
  16. Can't get thrown out on the bases if you circle them all at once...
  17. And Gasper with the HR...who had that on their Twingo Card!!
  18. Not happening...but he still has 3 trips through arbitration, some team might trade a top prospect or 2 thinking that they can fix him.
  19. How about Clemens, Buxton & Jeffers... we'll see if Rocco plays "all-in" to get the win...
  20. Not for those 30 PA, loses too much $$$ in arbitration...
  21. Wallner. You run until/unless the ump signals foul.
  22. Agreed. Be that as it may, I don't think he scores there; he has to start from a dead stop (he's not fast, either) and Watkins is gonna play it conservative and hold him up.
