  1. I'm not sure who should be more embarrassed...Rocco for not having the awareness of the situation, or Seth for inventing a pretty lame excuse.
  2. someone's itchin' for a bannin'...
  3. Yeah, my first reaction was "great, now Arraez is hurt again."
  4. Telecast seemed to imply Rocco mistakenly had to remove Berrios due to a 2nd mound visit. Anyone know if that's true? Was it covered in post game presser? If true, that's...not really acceptable.
  5. The same Tony O that amassed 6880 PAs? Played 13 big league seasons, 15 if you count cups of coffee in 62 and 63? That Tony O? Look, I know Oliva suffered a really bad knee injury in 72, missed almost an entire season. I'm pretty confident better medical treatment of today would have helped him greatly. But I'm also confident he wouldn't have dreamed of sitting out for a sore knee. You're not helping the team if you're not on the field. It's a long grind, and every player has to play through aches and pains and miner bumps and bruises if they're gonna stay on the field. If he's hurt, IL hum. If he's not hurt, get on the field.
  6. It's not just Colome, although I didn't like the signing at the time. It's more the lack of power options. Who can be trusted in that pen?
  7. Outside the first week of season, I wonder if that's the first time in history a team has featured a guy with a .000/.000/.000 line in the cleanup spot.
  8. I wonder if Kirby Puckett would have sat out tonight's game with "a sore knee." I'm guessing not.
  9. I'm not sure it's "inspiring," but unique to be sure. He has an OBP LOWER than his BA.
  10. Is there some law against taking on field BP and infield?
  11. https://www.google.com/search?q=blocked+punt+gophers+lose&oq=&aqs=chrome.0.35i39i362l5...5.-1j1j7&client=ms-android-tmus-us-revc&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:fce95754,vid:RfIA7lhsSKs,st:0 Goldy Gopher says "pffffft. Last minute loss? Hahahahaha. Rookies."
  12. I'm pretty sure-but not completely sure-the date is April 24...tomorrow.
  13. Concur. With Maeda out of the game so early, Dobnak should have gone at least 2 innings. Low and behold, both Rogers and Colome get pushed pretty hard.
  14. Well, except for blowing the lead TWICE, and walking the 8 and 9 hitters, and not being able to K anyone. But this is mostly on Rocco.
  15. Part of Boston, Seattle and now Oakland's success is that they got to play the Twins. It goes both ways. Beat the teams on your schedule. Anything else equates to losing, no matter how you try to excuse it.
  16. The Strib's story: https://m.startribune.com/covid-issues-stall-final-two-games-of-twins-angels-series/600047292/
  17. Ha! Tricked ya! I'm not wearing any pajamas.
  18. All of which would seem to indicate there wasn't an infield fly automatic out called.
  19. If an infield fly automatic out had been called, there'd be no force out of Trout at 2nd.
  20. 11. How long must we endure those fugly blue uniforms? If there is a God in heaven they'll be put in the attick and NEVER brought out again.
  21. This is absolutely not one of the top bullpens in baseball. That is simply rose colored glasses talking. It's decidedly below average, particularly compared to good teams.
  22. If management was serious, given how this team has started, he'd be here already. Saving a year 7 years from now is ridiculous.
