I disagree. MLB umpires are incredibly good. EASILY the best of any major sport. Buy it's a tough job. They're going to miss a few.

I don't understand why Lewis needs every 3rd day off. If he's not fully recovered, he shouldn't be active. If he's fully recovered, he should be in the lineup every day.

Concur. And BTW, the idea that an umpires calls result in a measurable amount of runs, to 2 decimal points, is ridiculous. Just because someone invents a measuring system doesn't mean it's measuring anything. -

At least it dawned on Rocco it'd be legal to PH Jeffers for Vazquez in the 8th. Of course, down 2 with 2 on and nobody out in the 8th the other night, he forgot. Weak ground ball from Christian "I weigh more than my OPS" Vazquez, 5-4-3, inning torpedoed. "Oh well, nothing to do about it."
