  1. Actually, neither foot needs to be in play. He could have, for example, been airborn. However, if one or both feet were grounded inside the dugout--out of play--it's not a legal catch. Same for any out of play area. An outfielder, for example, cab leap at the wall and make a catch over the wall. However, he can't plant a body part (hand, foot) out of play and then make the catch. In this case I think it was a legal catch.
  2. And....Just like that, tied.
  3. Conversely, I have the utmost confidence in Margot's ability.
  4. I have this friend who is always confusing similar words. For example, he always misuses "burro" and "burrow." It's like he doesn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground.
  5. I read somewhere that cows kill more people than sharks. At first I found that hard to believe, but the more I thought about it, it makes sense. I mean, how would a cow even kill a shark in the first place?
  6. Uffda. Stay in front of those, Eddie.
  7. I'd prefer they both lose 2.

  9. "Attention on deck: those deck chairs ain't gonna rearrange themselves! Let's get to work!!"
  10. Okert DFA'd, Blewett selected. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/08/twins-designate-steven-okert-select-scott-blewett.html
  11. "The decision not to re-sign Gray and Maeda also kept the Twins flexible heading into the 2024 trade deadline. ... Should they find themselves in contention, they have the prospect capital and financial flexibility to make a big move at the deadline without the albatross of aging pitchers on their payroll." Someone let Mr Christie know the trade deadline was a month ago.
  12. Just your bimonthly reminder: there are no such things as reverse splits.
  13. At least we burned through their bullpen...
  14. Falvey likes him. "Reverse splits." By which they mean more balls than strikes apparently.
  15. How many balls have the Twins gotten to the OF tonight? Four?
