  1. Well, see what happens when you don't do that stupid toe-tap thingy on 2 strikes?
  2. back to back hits? did somebody change the channel?
  3. Got it figured out: Santana did not cut off the dreadlocks. That's really Freddie Toliver on the mound.
  4. Twins should trade Dozier for Souza Jr. straight up
  5. ssssshhhhhh......... Dozier hit a RBI double to opposite field
  6. E's looking good today. Until he didn't. auditioning for Twins broadcasting team.
  7. Dozier hit it towards RF. Stop complaining.....
  8. Arcia as a pinch hitter? This year: 92 AB's 40 K's. Not much to recommend him as a PH. Either way, nether one of them is worth spending a lot of time on. I say: give him a pat on the back and a hearty 'Good Luck with your next job/team'
  9. Maybe the players last name is Certain? Sneaky, sneaky TR
  10. I think the Twins already know what they have in Arcia. Not sure why that's keeping him on the team...
  11. I signed in today to post the same things as posts #29 and #30. My thinking is somewhere between bewilder and amazed. With a 2-4 record and an ERA now below 5.00, Nolasco is the staff ace and leader in strikeouts. A .500 record and an ERA closer to 4.00 may get someone of some value.
  12. Look who's on the 'plausible' list: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/06/mets-royals-trade-options-wright-moustakas.html
  13. Wright is now out for 6 - 8 weeks. Fire up them trade rumors!! http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/06/david-wright-expected-to-miss-extended-period.html
  14. All the Fangraph articles I've read had a pretty good helping of snark.
  15. " I started with it, I got rid of it, and brought it back,” Buxton said, saying that the changes along the way were “just to change” and came from “not trusting myself.” " Apparently, from pitch to pitch... Um, not listening to his coaches? Head case? The 1st video shows a different problem: pitch recognition. The mechanics look pretty sound. Experience is the cure and if that's the only problem, then Buxton should stay in the majors. But it's not. 2nd pitch, I'll argue that Parker is wrong. I don't believe that toe tap is a planned strategy. If it is, it's a really stupid one. As shown in the video, that swing was not more compact. What happened here is Buxton got fooled again, over-committed to the pitch and, what seemed like, trying to reload his swing somehow. You'll never generate bat speed that way. A lot of wind and a lot of K's. Me, the 1st time I'd see that toe tap, back to AAA. He's gotta learn sound, consistently repeatable, mechanics.
  16. I don't remember hearing anyone in the Twins organization that Sano's long-term future would be at 3B. I admit I may have missed that. He has improved a lot in RF and has a heck of an arm for that position, but that's not necessarily saying a lot. From what I saw of Sano at 3B, it didn't look like he had much range. Coming in on a ball, not to bad. Ranging in to his left? Not much range. In a fantastical world, Sano drops to around 240ish lbs. and gains some range. I think his future is DH - 1st. So my question is: Plouffe at 3B and move someone out of the current DH -1st rotation [Mauer retiring in 2 year?] or push out Plouffe for a bag of peanuts and decrease defense at 3B, but increase defense in RF? Counting on improvement in offense at both positions.
  17. Are we not counting Plouffe's production before his injury? First mention I could find was May 15th. Checkout his April/May stats: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?id=plouftr01&year=2016&t=b#month::none Not saying those stats are sustainable. But it looked a little like a breakout season.
  18. Find a Charlie Brown image. Gotta be a hundred of them
  19. Everyone in the lineup had a hit tonight
