  1. How can Rocco still be the manager of this team on Tuesday. Whether it is all him or not, this team has no life and hasn't since August. This can not continue, this is so painful to watch.
  2. Varland threw 6 pitches, how can you not bring him out for another inning, Duran can pitch the 8th.
  3. Ober is probably done, it will be too many times to get up and down in one game when he is not used to it.
  4. Will it be Duran or Jax in the 8th. He likes Jax to face the middle of the lineup.
  5. Remember Rocco is the smartest and best manager in baseball.
  6. You can't match up for every situation over the course of a season. Put your best pitcher, right now that is Duran as the closer. I want the best option to be pitching against whoever is batting in the ninth inning and if he is not good enough then find somebody who is.
  7. That was the same time frame I played in Mankato. My coach wouldn't listen to me, so we didn't do as well.
  8. If you are an advocate for Gasper, then you must have stopped playing at the T-Ball level.
  9. So Festa will not have a good outing this year, then why bring him. He had given up one unearned run on 64 pitches and you need innings out of your starters. There was no reason to pull him based on yesterdays game which should be the criteria. And if Alcala comes in and blows up in the 7th, you are probably only going to blow thru one reliever, Topa or Blewett instead of both. That would set up the bullpen better for the rest of the series.
  10. Why not have Miranda hit for Gasper. I know he has struggled but he has had more success than Gasper in the majors.
  11. That's what I figured happened but was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. So how many relievers will we need to call up between now and Sunday.
  12. Why was Festa pulled, tuned in during Alcala's meltdown but saw Festa only threw 64 pitches.
  13. You have to have quality lefties to put in your lineup and Gasper doesn't qualify.
  14. Who thought that using Gasper who has 2 hits in over 30 AB's as DH would be a good idea. And does this person still have a job?
  15. This is why we burn out our bullpen. When there is an opportunity to reduce their innings, Baldelli doesn't do it. These quick hooks add up over a season.
  16. Why take out Ober, get innings out of your starters when you can.
  17. Sure glad we brought Bader in for his defense.
  18. Another thought on Baldelli. Larnach doesn't start against Perez but then he lets him hit against Hader. That is the time to pinch hit for him. I want Larnach and Wallner to get more chances against LH pitching but can we at least smart about it. I know Gasper was the only option but that is why Larnach and Wallner more chances at least give them a chance at success.
  19. I am ready to give up on the Gasper experience. He is just not a major league player.
  20. I know it's a blowout, but waving the white flag this early, what is going on with this team.
  21. This team is terrible, they need a complete overhaul and it needs to start today not at the end of the season. Keeping Paddack over Matthews and Festa even though he didn't earn his spot. This was not unexpected., he has had one good year in the majors.
  22. The lengths this team goes to not play LH bats against a mediocre lefty astounds me. Larnach has had some of the best AB's let him play. This lineup wouldn't strike fear in an AA game much less the major leagues.
  23. Why are we counting on Topa and Stewart. Topa has had one good season, is 34 and has only pitched over 40 innings once. Stewart has never pitched over 34 innings in his career. To build a bullpen with them as cornerstones is not good management. Use them when available, but take what you can get, which will be minimal based on history.
