  1. So we are not allowed to comment now or have a different opinion.
  2. You can't completely shuffle your infield on the fly by putting everyone in different positions and expect that it will always be smooth. The lack of planning in the offseason put them in this spot. Zoll needs to go, he can't put together a roster that will win.
  3. If you want average defense, then you make this move in the offseason, not mid season.
  4. So will they sit Clemens for that throw on Friday night, probably not, if it was Keaschall you bet they would.
  5. The throw pulled him off of the base. He has played there for two weeks, are you expecting Gold Glove defense. This team seems to think this is Little League and you just pull names out of a hat to determine which position you will play.
  6. Just because you can stand in a certain spot on the field, doesn't mean you can play that position effectively.
  7. Kreidler is not a center fielder, keep him at SS. We have plenty of other options to play CF.
  8. Stop playing players everywhere, we have seen more misplays on short popups in the outfield. There is a complete lack of completion, at some point we are going to have someone get injured.
  9. Someone please explain why is Gray in the lineup much less on the roster again.
  10. He took ground balls today before the game, the injury doesn't sound serious but he is out of the lineup tonight.
  11. He does bat LH, so I guess that is enough, defense only matters with the younger players.
  12. A lot of people myself included are looking for some kind of direction from this team. And no they don't have to share all the details with the fans. But they have been constantly churning thru one year vets with no proven track record or on the decline for the last 6 years and all it has gotten is one shortened playoff series win. At some point maybe try something different. This team has a chance at a playoff on paper only and most objective observers know that. Organizations bring up their top prospects all the time and when you have two guys almost 29 and 30 years with a combined 300 plus AB's between them in front of that prospect that just makes no sense for now or long term. If they are not going to sign proven major league players that have started and produced to fill the roster, then the other option is to play the prospects you are supposed to be developing. That is why you have a minor league system. And as a fan I have a right to call for improving the team and do a better job of filling out the roster. Just because Zoll is the man in charge doesn't mean I just have to blindly follow what he does and not ask for better results. Results are what matters at the end of the day and this team has not produced good results or put a good product on the field for most of this decade. And I thought the point of this board was to be able to discuss our thoughts and views of the Twins but you seem to have designated the thought police to tell us what we can and can't say.
  13. But there are many on this board who say we should trade. If he has no chance to be starter on a playoff team what could we expect back, a lottery ticket.
  14. So when is the right time to bring up players from AAA. Shouldn't they be getting developed to be ready to play and hopefully produce in the major leagues. We don't have a starting shortstop so why you couldn't call him up. If I am going to see a player struggle I would rather it be a young prospect with potential then a AAAA vet that has shown he is not a full time player and is not going to contribute to a winning team.
  15. I still think it was the wrong time to make the move. I know he struggled but he has barely one years worth of games at the position and there was no clear replacement. Clemens should be in a utility role so why move Keaschall now. I think they needed to show more patience.
  16. And that is why many people in baseball think he will be one of the most sought after trade targets if put on the market in July.
  17. The communication between the infielders and outfielders is going to get someone hurt. Sure hope it doesn't happen but hey anyone can play anywhere.
  18. It does happen, they are not going to be perfect every game. The Tigers lit up Schlittler for 6 runs in 4 innings tonight as well, this is baseball.
  19. Clemens is not a building block, he needs to be in an utility role where he will thrive. Buxton is the only building block we have. Come August Bell will go into his usual swoon,
  20. Were they any different than last season, no they weren't. This is on the front office and Shelton, they could have made the same moves in spring training, this was a knee jerk reaction because the coaching staff couldn't work with them.
  21. I still don't like the moves, they should have been done in spring training or next offseason.
  22. This is what happens when you move a player mid season to a new position, take the good with the bad.
