  1. I do believe your are in the minority, because it is not all stats. How does he look, what things to work on. The reports I am seeing from people who have seen Jenkins think he is ready.
  2. Maybe 27, you don't want to burn his options too soon.
  3. That is the one I think we should see. They moved Lee in preparation for this move. And when you have Ryan Kreidler starting there, then he should be up here. At least with Jenkins, you have guys who are producing that would need to be moved or have their AB's reduced. Kreidler is a good utility guy but he shouldn't be blocking one of your top prospects if he is healthy.
  4. This makes sense on the trades, I still think it would help Jenkins with his development for 27 and forward by being up here. I do think they could get an A ball type player for Larnach at the deadline and that would help clear the path.
  5. Or it provides a spark to a team in need of one, which I think this team could use.
  6. I do not believe in Roden as any more than a forth outfielder, and I am not the only one. There seems to be a narrative since we traded for him, that he has to be a starter. He has played 9 games and has gotten a hit in 3 of them before tonight.
  7. Why have major league teams brought up rookies and top prospects during the season. This comment makes no sense.
  8. Did Falvey get hired somewhere, that is the only way you're getting anything for Roden.
  9. Isn't this a board to discuss ideas, your comment seems to be taking a shot at my opinions. I as a fan have invested time and money into this team and I have a right to my expectations of the team.
  10. So your answer is to stop playing rookies. Maybe start holding the player development side of the organization responsible for not having players ready. And you maybe the only person who says he has no upside.
  11. If they want to help 2027 and beyond they should start his development now. I know all the arguments about next season but I think he should be up here. I want the 26 best players on the roster and I think he is one of them.
  12. He has a lot more upside than any of those guys you mentioned. I guess you prefer the Grays and Kreidlers of the baseball world. You can't sign every starter as a free agent, you need to develop talent to take over and become starters. At some point they have to start doing this or stay in mediocrity forever.
  13. Roden is part of the excess of outfielders that they have. There are 9 outfielders on the 40 man roster and that doesn't include Keaschall, Jenkins or Rosario. They need to clear some space to have enough playing time for everyone. And Roden has not shown that he should be given priority, I am not in favor of giving him another 200 AB's to figure it out at the expense of Keaschall or Jenkins. It was a bad trade, time to admit it and move on.
  14. And you can predict this, can you tell me the Lotto numbers as well.
  15. Or is he showing why he had only 200 AB's coming into the season. Right now we need his defense until Culpepper is healthy but he is not the answer as the every day shortstop. He needs to be the utility guy for the rest of the season, get Culpepper healthy.
  16. Varland was not an all star at the time of the trade. And acquiring made no sense especially after they acquired Outman. He has had 200 ab's in the major leagues with a batting avg of .191 and OPS of .544, what screams he needs to be playing ahead of players like Keaschall or Jenkins. I don't understand this fascination with Roden, he will be 27 before next season and Toronto basically came to the conclusion that he was not a major league player. He has had three different stints in the major leagues and just has not done anything. Someone in his position needs to produce quickly or he is not going to get another opportunity and that point should be coming soon.
  17. I stand corrected and he has only been on base because of the errors and one walk. He has yet to hit one out of the infield.
  18. Look at who is hitting, Roden has done nothing in the major leagues, here or Toronto. And Luke is almost 4 years younger. I am not hitching my wagon to Roden.
  19. He is 0 for 4 and only one should have been a hit. He is not even hitting .200 in almost 200 AB's in the major leagues. He has a lot of guys coming up behind him with more upside.
  20. This official scorer doesn't even try to hide his bias. I feel like others make some effort to have one or two against their team, this guy doesn't even try.
  21. He has a very short timeline to show something. Right now he is profiling to be a fourth outfielder at best.
