    I have seen the rule of thumb that OPS should be reduced by .150 points from AAA numbers. Well Sabato is at .935 currently, wouldn't that then translate to a .800 OPS up here, asking for a friend.

    I am not sure he should be the only analyst, he needs to be a third member. I do like listening to him, but he is going to be even worse than Morneau when it comes to homerism.

    Jackson is not so important that they have to finesse the roster just to keep him on it. He is a backup catcher who has done well when asked but there are plenty of journeyman catchers that can be signed in the offseason. There is a reason you have 13 position players, you do need a bench to help contribute as well. I do agree Soler is not a fit.

    And they pull Rozek after 47 pitches, will they really stretch out Zebby and Rojas down there.

    He has mostly been a DH, is Arranda that much better at first.

    I am not disputing that he didn't make the throw, but it wasn't like he was in normal fielding position. It wasn't a routine play, but one that needed to be made. But also Witt should never have been at third.

    Two since he moved to first, context always helps.

    He's a bulk guy, they don't let anybody go over 4 innings down there. Wonder what they will do with Zebby.

    The Royce diatribe continues, 5 to 10 comments on a throw that was not an easy throw, one that needs to be made but not a routine throw. And maybe one comment about Kriedler's throw that was unnecessary.

    Well yes and no but he is the one who cost us the run and I am seeing more comments blaming Royce.

    One was hit right to him, the one tonight he had to come in on. Yes he needed a better throw but it was going to be a tough play for anyone with Witt on third. And Witt wouldn't have been if Kreidler doesn't throw the ball away.

    Great play by our defensive stud, should have never thrown the ball especially without looking.

    If only we had someone in St. Paul that could maybe help and try to spark this offense. Maybe Zoll should spend some time over there this week.

    Until they purge this front office starting with Zoll, I don't think we will see one.

    The obsession with a RH bat continues. Let's get quality players on the roster, not more dumpster diving if we are truly trying to win.

    I like Jackson but he is a journeyman back up catcher, if we lose him, there will plenty to choose from next offseason to take his place. Having three catchers is just mismanagement of the roster with these three and does not help the team win. That is supposed to be the objective I thought.

    Bell has a one year deal, so they need to run as far as they can from any more deals. No more half measures. Back to my original question, if we had real reporters in this town they would be asking why Gray is on the roster. We are back to the half measures, actions speak louder than words.

    Any small difference is not made up by the lack of defense from Bell.

    Gray and carrying 3 catchers is not a good roster configuration. Gray is not even a major league player at this point, you fit in Jackson into the lineup but is he a better option than who you are sitting. If they are contenders they should get the best 13 position players up here. Prove to us they think they are contenders. Bell is not going anywhere which I don't agree but he is here to stay.

    Did any of the beat reporters ask how long they plan on going short two guys on the bench.

    You would seriously play Bell in the field and sit Lewis as well. That makes no sense, hopefully they have burned Bell's glove.
