    He was a contributor on winning teams with the Twins. I think we need an upgrade over Kriedler as a utility player if we want to be a contending team.

    It doesn't matter what I want, the Twins aren't even investing in him, so everyone defending him on here, the Twins haven't shown the same amount of confidence in him as they do.

    He didn't originally come up because of injury. And we still don't know who the Twins consider their regular shortstop, Gray or Kreidler. We will find out more in Cleveland.

    He's had over 200 AB's in the major leagues coming into the season with no success and is 28. How about signing someone who has actually had some success in the major leagues not players who proven they are basically a AAAA type player. He should be playing in case of injury only.

    But the players you are comparing had a track record of more than two months with batting averages right around .250 other than Astudillo. And Punto was actually a contributor on winning teams.

    First he is three years younger thank Kreidler which is a huge difference and I am happy with what he is doing. Will it be sustainable for three more months, I hope so. Castro is probably a better example but he came to us when he was 25, and probably had been called up too early. Kreidler is not a player I am going to count on at this point in his career. Let's raise the bar on quality rather getting all these AAAA types in their late 20's who have shown nothing in their career hoping we are going to magically turn them into a ball player. Where has that gotten us the last 10 years.

    And his career batting average is .186, that is what I stated. When he started playing more it was at .295, so I think there is a pattern there that says he is closer to a .200 hitter when playing regularly.

    Use insults when others disagree, that's a good technique. He is almost 29, and was waived twice by the Tigers and Pirates. Doesn't seem like a lot of teams are screaming for his services. He couldn't even beat out Tristan Gray coming out of spring training, so the Twins weren't even that high on him. The fact remains his career batting average is .186, there is no disputing that.

    Look at his numbers since he has been playing more, they have been going down because he is getting exposed.

    He is a career sub .200 avg hitter, not sure how that is league average.

    Culpepper can't get healthy soon enough. Of course, they will probably play him at 2B and 3B as well so Kreidler can get AB's.

    Don't worry we have Vic in the game, he will carry us to victory. He has been reverting back to his true self in July, there is no need to force him into the lineup.

    I really wish they would just leave Lewis at 1B. The goal should be to find players that can excel at one position, not have everyone moving around.

    A ball hit into the gap and you want him to jog. Then if there would have been a play on him at second he would have been roasted for not hustling.

    You tag up when there is a reasonable chance of the ball being caught, there was a 50/50 chance of that ball being caught. But I get it, the vets do no wrong and the younger players are always the ones making the mistakes.

    Bell was sitting basically on 2B, he wasn't halfway, that is where the mistake began. Caratini caught up to him, then he jogged to third and then decided to turn it on. Yes maybe Lee should have seen where Caratini was but most runners would have done the same thing he did in that situation.

    So you would fine one guy for hustling and one for jogging, that is a great message to send to the team.

    As a fan I don't have to accept it. I can choose to criticize the team in any respectful way I wish to.

    Yes, Bell played that perfectly sitting on second base and then heading for home.

    That is not a good thing to me if he is. He knows nothing about evaluating players or what is needed to run the day to day operations. But it also doesn't mean the previous executive owners were this way, especially Jim. I know Tom P. has said he is trying to learn about the business but he needs to hire people who know what they are doing and let them do their job.

    The plan includes what they want to spend. Did Joe come to Falvey and say hey let's sign Correa. No he didn't because he wasn't responsible for day to day. The managers or in this case the VP of Baseball Ops is responsible for saying what he needs to run the team and set his roster. The owners review and say yay or nay. They don't sit there with a dart board and say oh you can have this amount. There are many other expenses other than player salaries that need to be factored in.
