He just pitched three days ago so I highly doubt it.

I forgot to mention this a few weeks ago but Landa had shoulder surgery in June and will be out for 6-7 months. Tough break for the kid but he's still very young and should be able to bounce back in 2015.

Despite never walking, his OPS is up to .726 and .863 in his last 10 games. He seems to be figuring it out in AAA.

I love Dozier but I agree with you here. I have a feeling two or three of Polanco, Gordon, Santana, and Vielma will make him expendable. Santana is already here, Polanco and Gordon seem like fairly safe bets to at least make it to the Majors, and Vielma is a really talented wild card who I think flies under the radar here at times.

Really happy about this, congrats Jose!

BUXTON WATCH: He just made an "unbelievable" diving catch at the track to save two runs.

    BUXTON WATCH: He's 0-1

Officially leading off and playing center field.

That's pretty easy to say now. http://southparkstudios.mtvnimages.com/images/shows/south-park/clip-thumbnails/season-14/1411/south-park-s14e11c05-god-bless-you-captain-hindsight-16x9.jpg

From Buxton's Twitter today: I think he's starting today.

Lets not forget that last part, he's doing it in Colorado. I'm happy for Justin though, good to see him doing well out there.

I mentioned this possibility to my roommate last night when I was perusing the 40 man and he laughed at me. I'm looking forward to seeing the kid for a few games, hope he does well.

Somebody check the thermostat in hell

That's the line for the guy this thread is about, not Meyer.

You could call it dealing, or you could call it being utterly dominant.

This jumped out at me as well. What does Achter do to get hitters out? I've heard he doesn't throw hard and that would explain why he was a 46th round pick, so what is he doing so effectively?

Heck of a bunt by Eddie

This might be my favorite Phil Hughes start so far.

Springer already has graduated and something has to be wrong with Appel, he's looking like a total dud right now. Correa on the other hand, that kid is really good. The Cubs will definitely be in the discussion but I think Bryant could graduate. You'd have to think he'll get the call this year if he keeps hitting like Babe Ruth at AA.
  21. John Kelsey
How could they do this????? He's tied for the team lead in triples!
  22. John Kelsey
Yes, that would be a great lineup in New Britain but if anyone gets a call-up it should be Vargas.
  23. John Kelsey
    Curtiss, another closer/hopeful starter.
  24. John Kelsey
    Well this is just......strange
  25. John Kelsey
    Meyer May Darnell Gilmartin Johnson
