  1. All in good fun until someone gets an eye put out. (Lips pursed and clutching a hand bag)
  2. Yes, he is trying to win the "fancy" way.
  3. He is paddling with a straw. Painful to watch yet I can't look away.
  4. Unfortunately, yes. USA Today attempted to photoshop it out of there but their attempt failed. Just too big of a mess to cover up. :0\
  5. I get your point, believe me. I would just prefer his playing time go to someone in the next wave. If that means we lose 2 more games this year I really don't care. Just my opinion.
  6. I would honestly either bench or flat out release Mauer and then send Park to AAA and pick your top first base prospect from the minors let him play out the season at 1B. Not sure if that would be Palka or Vargas or Walker maybe?
  7. Promoting Mauer for the all star game? What a joke!
  8. I'm laughing and I agree! However, this not your ordinary run of the mill krapperware!
  9. Suzuki is the Harley Davidson of catchers. For the moment......
  10. Im right here. Trade him before the next epic slump.
  11. They should have DFA'd him in spring training considering last years performance. He would have likely gone unclaimed and gotten the reps some feel he still needs while in the minors. Instead, they chose to keep him around and now the cats out of the bag. Every team in the league will be posturing to acquire the services of this guy who can't play defense and put up a .214 batting average against mostly favorable side pitching. I'm glad they cut bait on him. The timing is just strange though. They kept him and then never gave him the reps. Very hard to understand this team. For the record, I do not think he will be in the league for long if claimed. He just is not very good.
  12. I'm glad they finally made a decision on him. Personally, I think it's a good move for him and for the team.
  13. I remember before we got rid of Ortiz, seemed like every hit he got was clutch. I was pissed when he left.
  14. How polads are not blowing this mess up makes me very pissed. Proves to me they don't care. Shut up Sid.
  15. I'm cheering for a loss. Failure might bring change.
  16. Thanks for commenting old goat.
  17. Let me start by saying I love the Twins. But sometimes things go so bad you have to try to find supplementary reasons to watch. An alternate way to track the Twins and maybe generate some interest and fun is now here. According to my not always accurate research, in the past 81 years the teams that finished with the worst records were as follows. 1945 Phillies 46-108 1952 Pirates 42-112 1962 Mets 40-120 2003 Tigers 43-119 Why did I pick 81 years? Well, because it makes for a nice sized division of 5. I will leave it to you to name this glorious division. Current standings after 38 games for this unnamed division are as follows. 1962 Mets 12-26 2016 Twins 10-28 1945 Phillies 10-28 2003 Tigers 9-29 1952 Pirates 7-31
  18. Polanco looks like a very competent hitter to me. Hope he gets a shot soon. I would like to see him in there twice a week for Dozier and twice for Escobar at this point.
