  1. Why the hate? Torii's all about the love!
  2. I love the direction the team is headed. Being a homer and drinking the Kool Aid I'm projecting this team to be in the thick of it in August!! That assumption is based on the rotation delivering.
  3. There is always a spot in the pen for a ground ball specialist. Solid move by Mauer to look for a inning killing DP.
  4. I love that Molitor is open minded about non-name players. If they perform the best they earn the privilege of being in MLB. All these players competing hard is raising everybodies game! The more tough decisions the better.
  5. I always wondered how the Twins would have done if we hadn't traded Greg Nettles to the &%$#^ Yankees. Greg batting third with Carew leading off would score alot of runs. A staff lead by Bert B and D Goltz and Mike Marshall in charge of the pen. I think they could have made some noise.
  6. I bet J Morneau joins Corey in the Canadian BB HOF. Love to see he still is a Twin at heart.
  7. Good for Tommy!! It is in the Twins best interest that multiple fellas create an "ARMS" race for the for the fifth starter spot. May the most dominant and accurate Missle Launcher win the "ARMS" race. No Detante for AL opponents.
  8. If the glove is solid and the work ethic is there you can build and develop the swing. It kind of reminds me of the Twins grabbing Tony Oliva just before the Cuban Embargo. For the price of a reliever on the big club you have a chance to pluck one of the best players "Off The Island" I really don't see any negatives about gaming the system in place.
  9. I'm, ROOT, ROOT, ROOTING for Hicks to win the CF job. He has the tools to be an asset. In some ways he reminds me of that beautiful mansion on the hill. Immaculately groomed lawn, landscaping to please the eye, big house with the lights on and nobody home.
  10. I could see him on the big club next year when they break camp. With Turner. Bye Suzuki, Pinto.
  11. During a game you never know what 2-3 plays will decide the outcome. Take Jeter's cut off throw up the first base side of the plate, doing whatever it takes to win. That one slow dribbler that isn't covered can be the difference between a crooked inning and a goose egg. Four and five out innings will kill the morale of your team. Hustling is contagious. Outfielders see their pitcher covering first doing the fundamentals, they will hustle into the gap after balls, players back each other up, next thing you know a TEAM that is considered inferior is winning! They are called oveachievers. They play the game the right way. Ect.
  12. Why would you project Hicks to be in AA? If he is down there he should be released.
  13. After 5 years off MLB I would like to see him a 20, 40, 20, 50, 100 guy!!!! 3B, 2B, HR, SB, Runs
  14. I predict the starting CF will be ....Aaron Hicks!!! or Aaron Hicks %#$&@#$ the third time is the charm or three strikes and your out. I'm thinking charm. Fifth starter Trevor May. #2 catcher Garver or Stuart. Kennys Vargas will beat out Pinto for DH but Josmil will be on the big club. Gentleman Joe will hit .312 with 8 dingers, 41 doubles, 70 runs and 90 Ribeye's. Unfortunately Ricky lost THAT number, but it opens the door for J O Berrios as a early call up. And Saint Paul will fool everybody and steal at least 4 other teams signs, leading to a Twins surprising start and contention long into the season. BOOK IT
  15. I hope Paul Molitor is a big fan of Earl Weaver minus the ejections. Those 3 run fly balls will win alot of games.
  16. I really think Meyer should be the higher ranked prospect, but it would be nice to see both on the big club by the All Star break.
  17. I agree you need the whole team. Bench players, rotation, bullpen. Still a pretty salty team!
  18. My first thought was Dave Kingman, 25 bombs in the Fla St L, WOW! Move him up. Earl Weaver was a firm believer in the three run fly ball.
  19. Growing up we called that "meatball" pitching!
  20. This is the kid that is really exciting, except that is what I think of Buxton, ah er Sano. Geez is it fun to see these kids mature. Fast forward to 2017 game seven, Gordon at short flips it to Dozier and Burdi has sealed the deal!!!!!!!
  21. Gets the juices flowing thinking about all the prospect's on the brink of the big club!
  22. With his "stuff" is it possible that he could be a closer?
  23. I hope the competition is fiercely fought raising everybody's game. Ultimately Pelfrey earns a bullpen job does exceedingly well and we trade him for a fresh live arm.
  24. I could see Reed in the pen this year, that slider is NASTY
