  1. ALOT of work, great effort. Wouldn't mind seeing one for each of last five years!
  2. should be on the club for the world series push
  3. Dozier is a big piece of the World Series Championship puzzle. Two years Buxton, Sano, Meyers, ect. will be banging on the door!!
  4. I like Escobar anywhere on the team. Santana's wheels are special, hope his glove and decision making catch up. I still like Florimon, his leather is good for taking away a hit a game. Not into Nunez.
  5. If Pedro can hit .230 with a .300 OBP he is solid in my book. I think he is a cornerstone to the next Twins play off run. Toss in double digit bombs is gravy!! He is young "the wizzard of Oz" was a terrible bat for a decade before he learned to hit. Do you really think San Diego would still make that trade for G Templeton? Play the kid!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I really think Hicks is going to provide a boost. Possibly batting fifth or sixth. I like Ossie but Hicks will have the better year!! Love Mauer in the two hole, but that opens up other problems in a young and weak line up. By the end of the year I expect Florimon to hit in the .250 range with double digit big flys. If Willingham doesn't hit Buxton could be up sooner than projected, but i think Parmalee would get first shot. Watch Hicks is going to be HUGE this year.
  7. Options should be irrelevant to making the big club!! The best players need to go north. GO GO Gibson, way to earn your spot.
  8. I can see a lineup of Hicks leading off followed by Mauer. Then Buxton batting third with Sano as the classic cleanup. I think Hicks will be a .300 plus, 20 big fly guy. I am extremely high on Hicks. Maybe switch Buxton and Hicks in the order. Mauer is an ideal #2 hitter with his patience and bat control.
  9. if you are serious about being a champion, you have to make this move. I hope the rotation saws wood till the lumber catches up. Who knows maybe we have a pennant race!!!!
  10. I really like Florimon's leather also. What the limited scope of the "national" thinks is irrelevant, it's what Gardy and the brass think. Love Escobars versatility.
  11. Deduno has impressed me with the action on his pitches for two years now. That being said I am not the one evaluating the team. Looking to see the best team that the Twins can put forward, whomever that is. Would not mind seeing the "gas can toting" Burton traded for quality help. Look forward to Hicks having a strong year.
  12. Stuart has a new fan in me. I will be following his career. Good luck and GOD BLESS!!!!
  13. actually he just signed for two more years. now we can focus on our weakest link the secondary. dennard or gilbert round one. van noy if available round two. buchanon or dixon round three. resign griffen and we should be in the play offs. we like, i'm contributing anything
  14. i look for hicks to be a solid major league contributor this year! push for 20 big fly's 280 BA and quality leather in the field
  15. Phil just needs to talk to ol'Bert about Uncle Charlie. Soon enough it will be a family reunion of long lost kin folk.
  16. I'm feeling your vibe. I really like the Hughes signing, think he will establish himself as a 15 game winner.....consistently. Pelfrey feels to me like the stud the Mets had. I have always liked the way Deduno is fearless on the bump. If Worley can find consistency the Twins can string together some quality starts. And that is when streaks happen. Yea it's only spring but we are tied for first!!!
  17. the cover 2 is a run stopping defense. it is designed to keep the corner on outside leverage and push wide plays i.e. sweeps, pitches, and options inside or bubble the ball carrier to allow pursuit. for the 2 deep zone to work in pass coverage you need quality play from your linebackers, something sadly lacking by the vikings for about a decade.
  18. kluwe was cut for salary cap reasons. plain, simple, direct. chris lacks integrity by not stating his comments A) to priefer immediately
  19. looks like the twins are going to throw as many south paws at the pen as they can and see what sticks. i would like to see two quality south paws out of the bully, with out gas cans, to toe the bump. if matt is one of them "atta boy" if not glad you had fun. not everybody gets to get paid to play a kids game.
  20. if the vikes reach for another 4th round QB (ponder) with a top 1st round pick (carr) they need to fire spielman!! we need to take best DB available i.e. dennard, gilbert, dix.
  21. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, does this portend a future Twins line up of Arcia and Sano battling for the DH spot.
  22. "when you see numbers worn by offensive tackles and wide receivers" i had to chuckle. nice article.
  23. look for kubel to be used in a similar fashion as j thome. his demeanor in the club house and batting cage could be his most positive attribute this year. a veteran lefty off the pine.
  24. in other words a typical twins solution of plugging a dh by rotating players out of the field. mauer wont need a break as often at first, but if parmalee makes the big club he should be in the rotation as well.
