  1. Looks like a solid option for the bully. Nice asset that he is bilingual. GOOD LUCK RYAN!
  2. I'm predicting 7 prospects will be called up in 2015. One of those will be from the other category. Although, I think four of them will make a solid contribution this year. Two of those will be in the bullpen. Meyers should be one of them. The only thing that will stop Sano is an injury. Please knock on wood that I didn't jinx him.
  3. I cringed when he was compared to Jared "Gas Can" Burton. Better alert the Fire Marshall NOW!!!!
  4. My hope is half of the top 15 make the MLB team at some point this year
  5. Being an avid Hicks fan I would like to see him earn the everyday CF job. Not sold on Schafer. Meyers has to make the big club. It's sink or swim time. When is Meyers going to NOT be limited in innings pitched? I like the Nolan Ryan philosophy of stretching the pitchers out from the minors on up. I also need to see something from Mays on the big club. Pinto for a prosect not the proverbial bag of balls!
  6. I'm keeping a close I eye on Hu. I expect him to be a MLB debutante at 24 years of age. If other pitching prospects pan out i.e. Meyers, Gibson, Stewart IMHO he would be a very intriguing addition to a young rotation. What ever happened to Slegers the big kid out of Indiana?
  7. Speaking as a Twin fan sign'em all. It's Polhads $$$$$$$. From the Twins perspective I would do this deal with a caveat. Sano is an ELEPHANT with a big stick in his trunk. With his big arm right field would be the position for him. To displace Plouffe, he has become a legitamate MLB defensive hot corner fielder, reminds me of the Twins trading a budding Greg Nettles to the Yankees over $$$. If the goal is truly to win it all Plouffe provides a solid stick, flashes above average leather, is a solid citizen in the clubhouse. In other words a building block of a championship team. An infield of 1B Mauer 2B Dozier SS Santana 3B Plouffe provides offense , defense, and a positive clubhouse presence. The outfield, and I have NOT given up hope on Hicks, LF Hicks, CF Buxton, and RF Sano. The DH "El Toro" Arcia. H2O covers 75% of the earth Buxton and Hicks can cover the rest. This provides you with offense and defense. That leaves the perennial problem with the pitching staff. If I was the Twins I sign both Dozier and Plouffe to multiple year deals that are front loaded. Similar to the way Spielman is managing the Vikings salary cap.
  8. I would contact Nolan Ryan to gauge his interest in the pitching coach position. It would be a long shot but he set the tone for Texas's resergence on the mound when he was running their baseball operations. Beside, when the White Sox come to town we can have him deliver the lineup card to the Umpires and perform a re-enactment on Robin Venturas mound charge at home plate.
  9. Gentleman Joe and St. Paul annoiting the twins return to respectability. Makes for a compelling story line. I pray all goes well.
  10. The other positional breakdowns included minor leaguers. Would really like to see what orginizational depth we have.
  11. Very long shot but I would contact Nolan Ryan. He probably wants nothing to do with it, but he is the one that set up the Rangers pitching staff philosophy about 5 years ago when they were a train wreck
  12. Sorry Doc no stats. I spend time in the DR, watch. There is a reason a lot of players come from there. Was on the road Tavares died on last month, sick tragedy, such a travesty.
  13. Don't sleep on Rainis Silva.5 years from now he will be a 24 year old BEAST ready for prime time.
  14. I'm absolutely OK with him finishing the year at AAA. Next year stay the yeast add the third starter and never look back. Of course the organization is being careful with his arm, but until the organization adopts a Nolan Ryan approach to pitching (or Bert) or pitchers weep be molly coddled at all levels
  15. How is Walker not hitter of the day? A three run job to break the record to start the game off with a crooked number
