  1. Have you seen their bullpen? EDIT: That was typed before Wallner’s at bat.
  2. That last run looked like something they would do on defense.
  3. Did they just show Miranda going back into second on the bluff pickoff? He dove, came up a few feet short and started crawling. He’s going to hear about it.
  4. My only time to the CWS! It was cool that he had just been drafted.
  5. Toronto, Reds, Cleve, Potts, Philly, Mets or vice versa would make a nice little road trip. If you want to finish in style, save Pittsburgh for last.
  6. I just realized that Little Nicky Lopez wears No. 8.
  7. I have those two flipped at 28 and 29. Also this place 30. What do you have left?
  8. He’s on assignment. IIRC, yesterday he said he was going to Italy.
  9. Haven’t been to Tampa yet, I assume?
  10. Nothing. I liked that one better than this monument to cement.
  11. You should see the one with me in it! 🤣
  12. And by the way, it’s a good idea to be the only guy in a Twins shirt amongst a bunch from the TTSNBN during batting practice. Thanks to the generosity of some non-uniformed Twins staffer, I’ve got a ball to pass along to some nearby kid sporting a Twins cap or shirt.
  13. Greetings from the corner of 35th and Shields. Thanks to the general stinkitude of the Team That Should Not Be Named, good seats are still available. Tonight’s mission, should IT choose to accept it, is to see if one can move from Section 116, Row 10, Seat 2 to a spot behind the Twins dugout for a significant portion of the game.
  14. As opposed to about 48 grand if you’d hired it done. That’s generally my experience. A few years ago, my father-in-law was finishing a roofing project. I asked how long it would take. He said, “Another two hours.” Probably about right for him by himself, but with my help, we got it done in three.
  15. I'm curious. It's only been a few games, but how is the defensive comparison between Lee and Lewis at 3B?
  16. They've put enough wins in the bank that it's hard to see them not making the playoffs, but I still don't think they are sustainable. They are on pace for 103 wins, for goodness sakes. Only five of their nine starting position players have an OPS+ over 90. One of those is Steven Kwan with a 173 and that's definitely not sustainable. Only two of their five most-used starters have an ERA+ over 80 and those are just 109 and 127. They've had great health, with the exception of Gavin Williams, who just came back, so they haven't needed to dip very far into depth. The bullpen has been lights out though. However, a couple are on pace for 75+ innings, a couple more at 70+ and a couple more at 65+. It's hard to see not having some of those guys breaking down and having some serious overall regression.
  17. Correa seems like a guy who would want to be there, but it would be an easy swap to send Castro if Correa's hand is at all an issue in in the next several days.
  18. I'm planning a last-minute jaunt to Chicago for either Monday or Tuesday. I've got a hunch good seats are still available.
