Signing Josh Donaldson as a free agent was the biggest offseason move in the history of Minnesota baseball. Hindsight being 20/20, the Jack Morris signing before the 1991 season was bigger.
Second-half drop off could be due to injury. Or it could be due to the fact that pitchers figured out they don't have to throw the ball anywhere near the plate to get him out
Worst decade of Twins baseball? 2010 and 2019 bookended 8 mostly unwatchable seasons. Honorable mention: the 90's (a world championship in '91 and a whole lot of yuck!)
Odd that Odorizzi was only mentioned in comments once and not at all of the article. And Eddie was only mentioned in passing in the comments and not in the article. I'm not saying either one of those guys are the MVP but they are certainly worthy of mention.
I never thought Duffey would ever get it figured out. He looked for all the world like just another twins reliever that was horrible it would never get better. Nice surprise!
Become a junior high school teacher. Really, a Twins game is relaxing after a school day. Even if the bullpen blows another big lead and the Indians win again.
This team kind of reminds me of the Royals team that won the World Series a few years back. They didn't really have Superstar players but they had a lot of really good ones who played well together
Good for Tyler. Good for the twins. In years past the twins would have built around a player like Tyler. Good to see they went out and got better players. I think Austin will have a nice big league career in a franchise that has a need
Cuddy and Morneau go to play in Denver and compete for the batting title. Mauer would hit .400 if he played half his games at Coors Field. Pedro Florimon hopes he gets traded to Colorado so he can win a batting title.
