  1. Yeah except Rosario has a 30% strikeout rate and 2% walk rate. He's basically Danny Santana with a less speed and a bit more pop. The fall will not be graceful unless he starts taking better at bats
  2. Can the Twins score 5 plus runs tonight? Lol a sweep it is
  3. Lucroy will probably cost someone like Sano so that's not going to happen
  4. Molitor made it sound like a one day callup. Yay more Stauffer!!
  5. Fans getting a nice breeze tonight from the Twins bats
  6. Duebsing trying hard to push that era over 10!
  7. Well that was our best chance. The royals bullpen won't give up anything, not against this team
  8. Twins need power, besides Sano no one is a 30 homer threat
  9. I don't know, Blankenhorn doesn't sound like a major league name.
  10. Can the Twins score against davis and Holland? I'll stand on my head if they do tie this game up
  11. They promoted another top prospect in Velasquez. Astros are serious, question is do the twins have similar plans?
  12. Small sample size. I feel later in the year, we will be begging for him to be out of the rotation.
  13. Obviously so Escobar and Nunez get more at bats to show their worth. Hahaha
  14. The front office needs to stop sitting on their hands and make some moves. Its pretty obvious Santana needs to be in the minors. A DH is needed and there are some options like Vargas or even Kepler. Stauffer is pretty terrible and needs to be replaced. Duensing is bad too. Did I miss anything? Good teams are constantly trying to improve themselves not be complacent.
  15. Losing a series and being potentially swept by the worst national league team at home is bad
  16. Well it wouldn't be so bad if he was the only shortstop not hitting. The bottom of the order is like a grind to go through. Only hitter I feel optimistic about up at the plate is hicks. Rosario has been okay but he has a very ugly walk to strikeout ratio and he's going to experience some regression
  17. Think that's game. Bucholz has his stuff tonight unlike last week.
  18. Rosario is going to slump bad unless he gets some plate discipline. Over 30% k rate with a 3% walk rate
  19. Who wants to watch Escobar and Nunez in the DH spot for the next few? Bring up Vargas right now. Send Santana down, bring him up. Escobar plays ss
  20. Kurt Suzuki isn't going to cut it in the 5 spot. Once teams catch on Plouffe is doing better, he's going to get walked a bunch with punchless Kurt behind him. Combine him with our #3 hitter and it would be a miracle if they combine for 10 homeruns. Lineup needs more punch in the middle if they are going to continue this decent run.
  21. Bring Pinto up fan club Dude can backup catch, DH some and a bench bat. Instead of seeing Santana struggle in a big spot, the Twins might have an actual hitter up there
  22. He was supposed to take a step forward this year in strikeouts, not backwards. It would be different if he had a high ERA and good perpherials to back him, so then we could say he was getting unlucky. Small sample size but big enough to know he doesn't have the pitches to be a front line starter, maybe not enough to be back of a rotation filler.
  23. Mildy concerning? Dude is striking out 4 per 9. To put that into context, Gibson and Buerhle are striking that many out in the majors and that's almost unacceptable. Well, it makes them backend starters in the long run even if they do get decent results at the moment. If you adjust that strikeout ratio to the majors, you probably get a Blaine Boyer and that's being generous. He's going to fall out of a lot of top 100 lists if this continues. He got a free pass last year because he was just getting used to professional baseball but if he doesn't get swings and misses in the low minors, hes doomed.
