    Gibson: K/9 is terrible, but sinkerballers aren't known to depend on the K. K's are sexy, but W's are more important. As long as he's getting the ground ball outs, I'm loving it. Hughes: Should improve. Pelfrey: Should not improve. He's 2 years removed from TJ, and maybe healthy for the first time since becoming a Twin. Maybe he's better than what we all have grown to expect out of him. Trevor May: He's going to take his lumps just like Gibson did in his first full year in the bigs. It sucks to see that, but that's what it could be for a while. At least he's not a 10-year vet getting shelled. Nolasco: I wish he'd disappear. I agree with Blake. He will KILL our team ERA. Hopefully he can rattle off 5 straight wins so we can dump him on someone soon. I like the direction of the staff a lot, other than Nolasco. We could be building a consistent rotation that can keep us in ball games. We still don't have that top of the rotation winner/horse to lean on in a playoff series. Berrios?

    I don't know anything about options, but it seems like Hicks has been up so many times in the last few years. Maybe they didn't want to waste another on Hicks if they're assuming Arcia will be back soon. Rosario hasn't played as well as Hicks has this spring so far. Going by numbers, it should have been Hicks. I don't think he's on Molitor's good list. I can't wait for Buxton to arrive. I'm really hoping he can get there soon. That place will go nuts if he's even close to an average player. The future is getting closer!

    Molitor isn't a coach, he's a manager. It's not like he's teaching all these players something that they don't know. He has to put people in a position to succeed, which in the Twins' case is impossible. Nolasco, Hunter, Stauffer, and Santana have all been hugely overrated pickups. Even if Santana had started the season, he would have been a .500 pitcher at best. A Twins fans, we're trained to think that that's a great signing. We couldn't have known that he'd be suspended, but he's a .500 guy playing for the Braves and Angels... he wouldn't turn into a winner here. Until they sign legit talent in free agency and develop their so-called superstars in the minors, we'll continue to be in the cellar. Terry Ryan NEEDS TO GO!

    A professional would take the job given to him and force the team to make the change. It bothers me that he feels like the job is his, he hasn't done anything since he's gotten here. The only thing that should be his is is a ticket elsewhere.

    How many prospects have we waited for in the last decade. Prospects are prospects and that is all they should be labeled as in my opinion. We finally get a guy up last year (Santana) that can really play and produce and now we talk about trading him so we can wait for another prospect. No way. If it works, you better stick with it until these "prospects" become players and push these professionals out. We've got a bird in the hand and about nine in the bush, take what we've got in the hand.

    I don't care what he weighs, I don't hear a lot of concerns about Big Papi or Miguel Cabrera. If he hits 30-40 home runs and drives in 100 runs, I could care less if he's 350. Maybe he'd be more suited at first base if he gets too big for third, thats just the ways it's done now days. Ask Pujols. Tell Mauer to out produce these guys or get his outfield glove loosened up. We can't afford to look past production like these guys could have. If they don't produce, then obviously Mauer will stay. Vargas and Sano could be HUGE run producers somewhere along the line. If they can't be moved, move someone else.

    The curve does seem like a lost art. It would be interesting to see what percentage of pitchers in the past ended up on the DL compared to today. I don't think that it is strictly because of pitchers not throwing a curve, I'm guessing it's more of a velocity thing. Everybody in the major/minors and their little sister throws in the 90's. 25 years ago, it wasn't assumed that everybody had that and it wasn't a prerequisite to become a professional pitcher. I wonder how many Greg Madduxes slip through the cracks these days because they can't throw 90? Getting hard to watch every prospect make it to the bigs, only to hurt his arm, lose his velocity and the ability to get somebody out because his velocity has slipped 3 mph. All of that being said, I do understand that a mid to high 90's fastball is much harder to hit than a slow curve and I know why pitching has gone the way it has.

    I too like the idea of Pineda, I just don't think that the Yankees will go for a prospect at 2B. They are built to try and win NOW and always have been. I'm sure they'd take one of our prospects, but only for a bunch of 'go-nowhere' prospects in return. That's just how they roll.
