  1. I don't see them going pitcher......they could have taken Greene and took Lewis instead......(remember when everyone said hitters were safer.....). I want the best pitcher, but I don't see it.
  2. I'm a bit disappointed that this means Larnach is in AAA (or Kiriloff is hurt or in AAA) to start the year. I understand last year was killed by AAAA players ALL PLAYING AT THE SAME TIME, but I feel this is an over reaction, like using all caps to make a point........ I don't HATE it, but I don't LOVE it either. I think if they didn't have Farmer already, I'd like it quite a bit.
  3. Terrible idea. Imo. They have plenty of bullpen options. Gordon is the backup OF
  4. I don't understand this move, other than they clearly want DEPTH this year. They definitely aren't counting on rookies in the INF this year.....Farmer and this guy? I'm a little confused.
  5. Ya, there is no comparison between this deal and Paddock's deal, imo. Neither in terms of risk or reward.
  6. Hasn't he blown out his knee multiple times, including walking out his door? Also, that's not enough money to buy him out, IMO. If he thinks there is any chance he's healthy, no way he takes that deal. He already has a big signing bonus..... I can't see either side doing this deal.
  7. I am a big believer in Martin, so he's my bounce back and pick to click. Gonna be a huge year for him.....
  8. They'd have to give up next year's whole draft (slight exaggeration, but not much) to get one of the QBs this year....I'd deal for more picks next year and punt this year, potentially. I've read next year's class is better (but you read that alot). Gonna be hard to get a QB this year, frankly. LOTS of teams ahead of MN need QBs and have more trade capital.
  9. DL Tonga re-signed today.....that's fine.
  10. Brandel re-signed for backup OT duty (or a lot of starts if Darrisaw has more concussion issues).
  11. We can't move Correa to 3rd because he makes too much to play there? Did I infer incorrectly? ************************************** Yes, you infer correctly. His value is as a shortstop. His stats as a shortstop are awesome!! His stats don't translate nearly as well as a 3rd baseman(middle of the pack?) to be clear, if Lewis is a better SS, they should do what? Also, why does it matter?
  12. Can you point to any evidence OF is more dangerous than infield at all? I can't find any on line.
  13. So much speed with Lewis...I have no idea why people want him at 2B.
  14. What does it say about him, other than he actually honestly answered questions? There is nothing negative here, imo.
  15. The ONLY way I make a deal is if Burnes agrees to an extension before the deal....and even then, I'd rather just back up the truck for Nola next year and keep the elite prospects it would take to get Burns. Also, agreed, the Brewers aren't dealing him THIS year.
  16. That's why they are suggesting a minor league deal, so the Twins don't have to make that decision.
  17. The Twins aren't pitching Pagan in teh 8th. Why are you typing this?
  18. The main reason I'd rank him over Lewis is Lewis' injury history, and that I think Lee has a very, very, high floor. I have no idea if either will play SS any time for this club, but I certainly wouldn't put Lewis at 2nd, a real waste of his speed, imo. I think Lee is the Twins' 3B or 2B as early as next year. I think he's that good.
  19. I've seen him first to 13th.....if he falls to 23, they should take him for sure.
  20. clearly I misread that! I thought you said "they" not "you". My bad!
  21. I'll be surprised if he plays enough to lose his rookie eligibility. Not totally so, but somewhat.
  22. People have a NEED to blame someone, even though most things in the universe happen. Just happen. With no one at fault. But, people have a NEED to believe things are in our control, hence blaming people for this (who do we blame for him getting hurt walking?).
