I think track record in the minors plays a point. It's a great topic. I'd say several years for guys with track records .... But I do think it can be fairly obvious if a guy is super unlikely to be good.
Trading is part of development, if you trade guys in your farm for legit assets. Tampa and Cleveland do this often, two teams everyone here compares them to.
He's hitting 7 percent better than an average hitter. He's put up more positive fwar than nearly every twins hitter, despite the penalty for being a DH. Y'all are looking at the wrong player
I'm not sure Teel is a reach, exactly. He's what, 7th rated? Higher than Lowder....
I'm taking Clark if he's there. If not, assuming the three top college guys are there, I go with Teel, Dollander, or Lowder.
What outfield depth? They're starting three guys that need replacing, none of which are under contract next year.
They don't need a starter.
They aren't close to contending, no way they should be buying.
There's no reason to think the offense changed. It's the players.... Until the players change, this is it. Except maybe CC and AK hitting better, which history tells us they can....
