    I couldn't remember if Fangraphs had Zunino really high or really low for defense, so I checked, and... 28 out of 35 for catchers with 800 innings since start of last year, and 23 out of 26 for catchers with 2000 innings since 2013. We do have a bunch of adequate short stops however.

    Blocking interstates is problematic, but that doesn't mean we get to absolve ourselves from trying to fix the problems with policing or the criminal justice system or all of the above. Also, I am very confident that if an ambulance with its sirens on was determined to travel I-94 during the protests last Saturday night, that the protesters would have made way for it, getting through the congestion would have been difficult but possible as it always is with the cooperation of motorists, and the police would have also let it through their blockades.

    Seriously! The Twins had both Mauer and Vargas in the game at the same time, Grossman was removed, and Sano was DH. I'm seriously interested in chewing on this possible defensive formation if the game had gone to the bottom of the ninth, if anybody else is ... I guess it's possible Escobar is healthy and would have went out to left?

    Mauer batting for Grossman Vargas was the first baseman WTF If anything, you pinch run for Vargas in the 8th. What positions do people play if the game goes to the bottom of the 9th!!!!!

    Yep. If Vargas plays it safe and the ball goes through, he might even be thrown out at third.

    Yea you could be right. Maybe not as a first baseman but he definitely fit the bill during his years catching, for sure, as well as baserunning.
