    Not really! I want to know more. There was a player who apparently re-entered the game after being taken out. That might be unprecedented; or at least very, very few instances of it since the rule was established back whenever. The managers' comments were ambiguous and incomplete, and we still haven't heard from the umpires. If you have nothing productive to sa------- oh wait, you started the thread.

    This team without Buxton or Sano will struggle to play .500 ball for long. That said, the secondary pieces are good, but Polanco and Granite could easily have been replaced with Adrianza and Grossman, with Kepler or Rosario in center. That right there is a better lineup than what Molitor drew up. At least until Polanco gets straightened out. Granite has no business hitting second right now. Maybe in the future someday.

    And if so, kudos to Gladden for figuring that out. That is some high level thinking.

    Provus and Gladden are still guessing. Best theory I heard them say is that the Sano scratch caused Polanco to be in the starting lineup, but the Twins failed to take Polanco off of the list of reserves. That the lineup cards were exchanged before the game per usual, and then Roberts either caught it during the double switch or saw it right away, but waited for the right moment to pounce on the mistake.
