  1. All laughers gotta start someplace.
  2. Am hoping for a laugher today in our favor with eight innings from Santana. He owes the team. Speaking of laughing, it's been my observation over the years that the happiest teams seem to win the most. Of course, winning can make you happier, but I'll stick to my guns believing they were happy to begin with. The two happiest baseball teams this season appear to be KC and Pittsburgh. Houston and St. Louis are close behind. And so are the Twins, who look happy even when they're struggling. That's my deep analysis for today.
  3. Sorry all. Was feeling pretty good for a moment there.
  4. Not sure about GOTG. Guardians of the Galaxy?
  5. Golly, winning streaks are fun. Looked up when the Twins won their 64th game last year, and it took an extra 26 games to do so. This has been the most enjoyable season in many years.
  6. Evens out. We're like the Yankees against the O's.
  7. Are these games more enjoyable for everyone when we get decent pitching, just enough hitting, and are in a position to win? Definitely an improvement over 17-4 losses.
  8. All of you are free to believe me, but the ESPN game account was stuck on a 2-and-oh count for Trevor and before the next pitch, I said to myself, "Oh he got all of that one! It's outta here to left centerfield! Touch 'em all, Trevor Plouffe!" Timely.
  9. So Sands has two of your team's three hits, and a guy batting 30 points worse pinch hits for him? OK.
  10. Up to Zuke again. I call a three-run moonshot to right.
  11. Thought this was a typo on the ESPN game account. (Am at work.)
  12. All well and good, but does he cello?
  13. Dang, I admire smart people. If I had brains and drive, I'd be an engineer in a heartbeat.
  14. Brothers from different mothers.
  15. Driving back from Nebraska, announcers said Texas had the highest batting average and scored the most runs in the majors since the All Star game. Perfect recipe for another bad game experience for the Twins. But the baseball gods have smiled on the boys tonight. I never get tired of laughers when we administer the beatdown. They don't happen often, so awfully pleasant when they do. .
  16. Change of subject... CB: I'll take Bank On It for $1,000, Alex. Alex: This commercial theme song celebrated a financial institution's interest-free loans and other complimentary services. CB: What is "Money for nothing, checks for free," Alex? Alex: Bravo, Circus Boy! And you're a thousand dollars richer for it.
  17. Lefties BA vs Gibson: .226. Righties: .275. Strange logic by Yanks.
  18. Those four bunts over the wall were pretty tasty, ya gotta admit.
  19. I have it on good authority that Chief has never peed in anyone's yard on purpose.
  20. If you want something different, try orange roughy instead of tilapia. Num.
