  1. There was no implication, but nice try. They spent the most, pure and simple.
  2. Assuming they use due diligence, I'll consider it another smart move by the Twins.
  3. Do you recall which team spent the most on the draft last year?
  4. Funny you should mention the '06 class. Only 3 left on the team right?
  5. But a very good one. I don't recall a Twin's draft ever being rated as poor. Source?
  6. You're being too modest.
  7. The reasons for the Twins current woes are very complicated, but if you need a quick answer and don't care how factual it is, poor drafting will work.
  8. I like the kid from Red Wing, but good job you guys. I'm looking them all up. Seems this draft is going our way.
  9. Jim Callis said Stewart could make it to Target Field sometime in 2015. He did not expand on it. It was about 2 or 3 draft chats ago.
  10. You're not going to bet the draft just because he's a local kid are you? How about Boldt at 43 instead?
  11. 6 or 7 years and it comes to a head with Joe Benson. Would you be satisfied with Ryan's head or are we talking ownership?
  12. Wow! Great job.
  13. I'm not at all concerned that Benson and the Twins have parted ways over his recent performance and possible artistic differences. I'm very pleased the Twins have quietly done a yeoman's job in positioning themselves for another haul in the 2014 draft. Ryan and co. will receive a third shot at Christmas before the piper needs to be paid. The organization is profitable, fans are still going to the pretty place, and critics who believe Hennepin Country is providing billions in taxpayer money in return for winning the World Series every other year or so, are amazingly quiet. Things could be worse.
  14. Why? Early returns are they are quite pleased. You honestly believe they deliberately drafted injured players?
  15. I have no problem taking our future catcher at #4. Maybe it's just me, but it seems 50% of all top pitching prospects are injured, and the other 50% are just waiting their turn. I would always take a position player this high in the draft.
