No, as a small market rebuilding team should put their resources elsewhere & use a rotating DH. DHs are for contenders not pretenders.

Royce Lewis' Quotes Are Half-Right about Baseball’s Contract Structure by Peter Labuza August 31, 2025 in Twins Daily Maybe this will help.
  3. PuckettPond
About time. Will he wear #7 as it is the Twins 1st base number. Sabato accepts coaching Lewis does not.
  4. PuckettPond
In the BP or starter Twins need more Rojas as our pitching quality is very thin. A young Rojas is better than the other guy who did not want to be here.

Cross your fingers for the bull pen to hold.

Will the Twins score more runs than the Vikings score points?

Looking forward to next season as there will be lots of changes lots of promise as change is good if one is a bad team. No more AAAA players on the roster. Curious who makes the 40 man roster & who does not get protected from the rule 5 draft.

Gomez is showing us who he is. Will we listen? Next draft all college pitchers please.
  9. PuckettPond
Not trading him @ the trade deadline was the wrong decision. Know when to hold them know when to fold them.

Remember when fans told us Sano was a quality right fielder? Sano turned out to be an embarrassment. Over weight, over paid, over here. Twins need to see reality quicker. No more no trade contracts as the last 2 have been terrible for fans, the Twins & common sense.

More quality youth equals more quality wins. Dead wood causes forest fires & Twins losses. AAAA players are not acceptable.

Connor will be an All Star next season.
  13. PuckettPond
After 2 more seasons Connor will be the greatest LHP in Twins history.

If the Twins do not receive a top 5 pick in next year's draft this season will be a failure. Every loss this season gets us a win next draft. "Please look beyond your nose." Pinocchio

Twins need to resign him next year iff (if & only if) they also sign his twin brother. Would help in Twins marketing, social media & beer commercials making Hamms beer relevant again. Plus increase the value of fans Hamms beer collectables. Rogers twins lift all canoes.

Drafting quality athletic catchers solve many problems. Hopefully the 2026 draft is only the beginning.
  17. PuckettPond
If Jenkins & Erod do not play every CF inning in 2027 the Twins will have a losing season.
  18. PuckettPond
Since quality catchers are unicorn rare Twins need to draft 2 of the top 5 catchers in each draft. Trading those assets to teams who will over pay thus giving the Twins a better future. Small market teams must do things different from the Yankees, Dodgers & Cubs. We can compete we just need to take a different path.

    More youth Less old age.

If Royce Lewis does not accept coaching & continues to do it his way he may not be in a Twins uniform for long.

Twins need a hard reset. Lets try for a 1985, 1986, 1987 remake. Two years building up to a World Series season. Jenkins, Culpepper & Erod are more exciting & fun to watch than the players they replaced. Our better pitchers will be the young guys next year. Zebby looks to be a valuable starter.
  22. PuckettPond
Lets see how Ross does @ SS. Twins kept fighting & won as it was a fun game to watch.
  23. PuckettPond
Culpepper down Ross up. Raya's future is in the bull pen. I see his future very bright in a Twins uniform.
  24. PuckettPond
When he moves to 2nd base he should play 162 games healthy, happy & productive.
  25. PuckettPond
Ownership & fans must work together or this 2026 season will become the norm. Frustration, disappointment & anger is no way to watch baseball. If you are not part of the solution you are the problem. "Denial is not a river in Egypt." Oprah
