Seriously, how great was that performance by Berrios? I was anxious with his first start being against such a good team but he dominated and gave the bullpen a bit of a rest. Kudos to Kintzler as well, this is fun!

Wade almost singlehandely won a regional in the college baseball tournament for Maryland two years ago. What a great selection!

Gutsy win. Great to see Pressly handle the heart of the lineup and get a Win.

Not worried, I trust FalVine and admire the fact that they dare to make moves this early.

Great article Seth, Wade is fun to follow. Thank you

I admire Cody's writing but I've watched Joe's walk off 5 straight times this morning and it still gives me goosebumps. No matter your Mauer POV, if that hit and his and his teammates reaction doesn't get you, I'm not sure what it's all about.

What do we make of Keith Law guessing that Twins will go college route instead of Greene? Doogie made mention that he thinks he knows Law's source but did not go into further details. Any inside info Jeremy?
  8. Carneal&Gordon
Great way to open the season! I didn't know seeing the Twins 1-0 would feel so good.

Jeremy, Any chance "Guru and the Geek" will be available via podcast? Thanks for all the info

I'm sure every team has games they'll look back on if they miss out, but tonight, tonight they stepped up down 1 with 5 outs left and stole one back. Only team with a home series remaining, let's do this!!!!

How fun is this? That Danny Santana walk was a thing of beauty. Rosario is a cool as ice. If I didn't live so far away I'd love to be at Target Field this weekend. What a ride!

    Very good article

Of course Theo Epstein gets David Berg. Bummer, but good for David. http://www.d1basebal...ght-david-berg/

Hoping Twins take a chance on arguably the best closer in NCAA history, UCLA relief pitcher David Berg, at some point in the draft. He is a senior who was drafted last year in the 17th round and simply dominated the competition after walking on at UCLA his freshmen year. Great article on him below http://www.d1baseball.com/features/golden-spikes-spotlight-david-berg/

Jeremy, Kudos on your Cody prognostication. You sure seem dialed in with the Twins scouting department and we all appreciate it.

Twins taking Cameron, are they thinking what I'm thinking?
  17. Carneal&Gordon
Yeah, it just seems like the Twins hold all the leverage especially if they've scouted ahead on 2016 and project better players available in the top 10.
  18. Carneal&Gordon
If, a big if, Cameron is the Twins top guy at 6 and they view the rest as being far behind in terms of potential, why not take him with the knowledge that if he doesn't sign they get the pick in the "loaded" 2016 draft? Is this crazy thinking on my part?
  19. Carneal&Gordon
Jeremy, What are your thoughts on Clark? Haven't heard too much about him.
  20. Carneal&Gordon
Tom, This is the first article I've read from you and your insight was fantastic!

Jeremy, Seems like it has been awhile since the Twins have taken anyone on or committed to UCLA. Since John Savage took over a decade ago he's turned the program into a national power while also producing many quality players such as Brandon Crawford, Trevor Bauer and Gerrit Cole to name a few. Hope the Twins get involved this year with draft eligible prospects like P James Kaprelian, SS Kevin Kramer and arguably the best closer in NCAA history David Berg. Berg's stats http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=david-berg-2 They could also go for old commit Aiken or current commit Allard. The Timberwolves and Vikings have created a recent pipeline to UCLA and the Twins need to hop on board.

Great article and appreciate Kohl's willingness to share his experience with the fans.
  23. Carneal&Gordon
I cringe every night I watch Carlos Gomez dominate for the Brewers. I hope I don't have to watch Hicks do this on another team in 5 years.
  24. Carneal&Gordon
Tough night in the minors but isn't anyone else ecstatic that our favorite big league team is 2 games over .500 going into Memorial Day weekend? Thanks for the updates Seth
  25. Carneal&Gordon
Good stuff Seth, still confused by the Johnson/Welker trade and it's reasoning but excited to see reports of the prospects over spring training and the year to come.
