Honestly I have been skeptical about him all season but he keeps getting hits, runs, hrs, XBH...... You cant ignore how well hes doing, I say they give him a shot. It couldnt hurt, I mean the Twins arent a playoff team anyway.

Why not let him get as many innings in the bigs this year as possible? I mean its not like we are trying to make the playoffs or win a WS this year. Hes ready so theres no reason to not bring him up.

Is that a bad thing if the Twins lose? I mean the way I look at it is they have no shot at the playoffs and even if god came down and helped the Twins make it they have 0 chance of winning a series with their Roto. Also how many Twins in the lineup today will even be there in 2-3 years when the team is actualy decent? 2-3 maybe 4? It does no good going out and winning games this season when the Twins could get another top 5 pick to improve their system and future. Berrios, Buxton, Meyer and the 4th pick this year all came from the Twins having horrible seasons. Berrios was picked with the Compensatory pick they got from letting Cuddeyer go through FA because they wanted to start rebuilding, Meyer was traded for which made the team worse and Buxton and the 4th overall pick were from bad records because of players leaving for the rebuild. You have to hit rock bottom while rebuilding to have a bright future. WSH, BAL, TB, TEX and SF are all examples of teams that hit bottom and are now successful because of it.

Maybe HOU takes Moran and COL had already made up their minds about taking Bryant so Gray or Appel drops to the Twins? Could happen, everyone thought HOU was gonna take Appel last year or atleast Buxton but they made a deal and could do the same this year with Moran. Its highly unlikely but it would be awesome to get Gray or Appel.

Your like a 5 year old kid that wont stop asking questions, ha. Nobodys opinions mean anything including mine, yes some are intersting and fun to discuss but that doesnt mean I would pay to here them. If they are free then I dont mind reading what they have to say.

We dont have a pitching surplus, we are just waiting for the right time to call up Gibson. Hernandez has no rights to be on a big league team, nor does Pelfrey or Worley. By the end of the season Our roto will be Diamond, Correia, Gibson, Meyer and probably worley or plefrey...

I cant wait til Gibson is on the team, then we will have atleast 1 starter that doesnt struggle to hit 90 on the gun....

You truly think in your head you know everything dont you, you sound so dumb its not even funny. How can you say that driving in runs doesnt mean anything about a batter? Thats just insane kid, you look at baseball as if its math class. Its not, to win games you have to drive in runs and Morneau is doing that. I get that you have probably never played baseball but when a batter comes up to the plate with runners on its a whole different at bat then when theres no runners on. If that batter can get them in thats all that matters, does that not make sense to you?

In his last 10 games this year he has a good game then a bad game, its so wierd. Heres how many earned runs hes allowed in his last 10 games starting with todays game going back: 0ER, 4ER, 0ER, 5ER, 0ER, 3ER, 1ER, 5ER, 1ER Ive never seen anything like it, its like he has 2 personalities and they switch off pitching every other week. This is why they might wait til he can string 2 good starts together.

Gibson today- 9IP, 3H, 0ER, 2BB, 8K He also dropped his ERA to 3.25. I think hes ready to come up and Hernandez should be sent down. They might let him start 1 more game in Rochester to see if he can be consistent and if he has a good game he will be called up.

You are crazy if you think RBIs dont tell us anything helpful about a batter. They tell us that the batter can get hits with RISP, without RBIs you cant win games. What you just said means that you think that if 2 players have a BA of .300 and have had the same amount of RISP but 1 player got more of his hits when he had RISP and has 30RBIs, and the other got more of his hits when nobody was on and he has 15RBIs but you think they are equaly as good because they have the same BA, XBH, OPS.... That is just ridiculous, clutch hitting is one of the most important things in baseball. Being clutch is one of the most important things in any sport.

If it was a real risk they wouldnt of let him do it, they have doctors and trainers that they can ask how far he can go and if its dangerous. He needs to get his stamina up and if it means throwing that many pitches than so be it, I think it was a good move to let him stretch that arm out.

You should of put a little more time into this list, what good does it do if we know names but have no clue where thay are projected to go and what kind of player they are? I know alot of these players and where they are projected but I dont know alot of them too, some people might have no clue who any of them are so the list is just a bunch of random names.

Hes gonna be an XBH, RBI and HR machine among the many things he will be doing well.

It doesnt suprise me at all because people wanna see arguably the best prospect in baseball Byron Buxton, and Berrios could be attracting people aswell as others. I wouldnt mind going to see a game, I probably will.

Pretty good night, Sano is gonna be an XBH machine. Cant wait til our 1-4 is Buxton-Mauer-Morneau-Sano, Morneau and Sano will be getting so many RBIs. Thats if Morneau is still on the team at that point, I think he will be.

Yes OPS gives a good outlook on how a hitter is doing but what it doesnt account for is hitting with RISP, one of the most important stats there is. Jose Bautista has an OPS of .898 with 9HR, 23R, 22RBIs and a RISP .286 while Morneau has an OPS of .761 with 2HR, 18R 29RBI and an RISP of .298. Morneau has more total runs generated because he has a better RISP avg, a stat that isnt accounted for in OPS. Even though Bautistas OPS is better than Morneaus it doesnt mean hes having a better season, when it comes to driving in runs Morneau is doing that better than most in the leauge. OPS is a flawed statistic. It doesnt account for clutch hitting and it weighs extra base hits way too heavy, It says that a double is 2x more valuable than a single and a triple is 3x more valuable than a single even though most managers would not agree with that. Im not saying its a horrible stat but you cant base a players whole season on OPS. Morneau may not be getting XBH but when he has runs that are in scorin position hes driving them in better than most people in the league, doesnt that count for something?

Yea you mention what hes doing bad but why didnt you mention his .300AVG and hes on pace for 120RBIs? Did that slip you mind, how on eartch could you say hes untradable batting .300 and on pace for 120RBI? Just because his power numbers are down doesnt mean he isnt producing more than almost the whole league. If he finished with a .300AVG and 120RBIs would you seriously say hes untradable?

Morneaus not going anywhere unless the Twins are absolutely blown away. I talked to Crasnick the other day and asked him about that and heres what he said: Jerry Crasnick (12:35 PM) Andrew, Would the Twins consider trading him? Probably not, unless they're blown away. They're big on continuity and the team dynamic in Minnesota, and they still see Morneau as a big part of that organization.

Nobody is complaing about pitching to contact, the reason us Twins fans arent a fan of it right now is because the pitchers that we have that do it just plain suck. There are strikeout pitchers that are just as bad. Our problem isnt pitching to contact, our problem is we have horrible pitchers that pitch to contact. Theres alot of really good pitchers that pitch to contact, one of them is Johny Cueto. Is probably the best groundball pitcher, but he throws hard and gets Ks too. Another thing to note is almost every roto has contact pitchers but they also have strikeout pitchers, we only have contact pitchers. Our contact pitchers struggle to hit 90mph so they are throwing meatballs that they want the batters to hit ha. Alot of the best contact pitchers have an avg fastball around 92-93 our guys avg fastball is around 89mph. We have bad contact pitchers, plain and simple.

The Twins roto stats as of today- Scott Diamond- 35.1IP, 15K, 4.08ERA, 1.30WHIP Kevin Correia- 53.2IP, 22K, 3.35ERA, 1.23WHIP Vance Worley- 39.0IP, 21K, 7.15ERA, 1.95WHIP Mike Pelfrey- 38.1IP, 18K, 6.57ERA, 1.77WHIP Pedro Hernandez- 28.0IP, 15K, 5.79ERA, 1.57WHIP First thing I should note is none of these pitchers belong even close to a 1 or 2 spot on a roto. If Diamond pitches like he did last year hes an ok number 3. So far he has been ok but will end with the best ERA and WHIP on the team probably by a good amount. Correia has been the best so far but dont expect that to keep up for too long, his track record shows he sits between 5.00 and 4.50 ERA. Pelfrey has been pretty bad so far too but I think he will get a little better as the year goes on, but he shouldnt be any higher than a 5 maybe a 4. Worley and Hernandez dont belong in the MLB, they are both horrible. They throw meatballs every pitch it seems like. In all theres not much to say about our roto, its full of guys that struggle to reach 90MPH and have very little movement on any of their pitches. They show no comand and control. Diamond and Corriea are the only 2 that should be on a MLB roto that expects to actualy win games, and they would be 4 and 5 guys. We have the least amount of Ks for a starting roto in the league and the next closest has double ours. Its sad when your closer has 1 less K than your top starter.... I know pelfrey, Hernandez and Worley wont be here long but I cant stand them. The Twins finaly decided to get some pitchers that can throw hard and get Ks when they got Gibson, Meyer, May and Berrios. I cant wait til they start trickling in so we can look forward to watching our pitchers. Hopefully we draft Manaea or Stewart in this years draft, then we will have a really good group of starting pitching prospects that throw hard and get Ks. I dont understand how it took so long for the Twins to realize that the more Ks the roto gets the less times the ball is in play.

Hes deserves to be on the team more than atleast 3 of the Twins starters. Arent you sick of seeing 88mph slowballs crushed? I know I am, so is the rest of MN.
