  1. I am almost 100% sure they wont do that. They have dumped a ton of salary the last couple years (which was all of our good vets like Cuddyer, Kubel, Span....) in order to start rebuilding the team through the draft. They wouldnt scrap 3 seasons if they werent gonna take the best possible players in order to be a good team again. So far they have done that so I dont see them stopping.
  2. Lookin forward to see what Sano does in 2 games tomorrow...
  3. Exactly. You can look at all the stats you want but if you have never actualy stood in a batters box you dont know anything. So many people on here are diving way to far into stats. Morneau is driving in runs, getting hits and playing great D. Yea it would be nice to see some more XBH but I cant believe some people are saying hes untradable right now. Hahaha! When your in the box with guys on its a whole different at bat then when the bases are clear.
  4. That about sums up what I have been thinking, Stewart has just as much potential if not more than Gray and Appel.
  5. The thing that made this SO so impressive was how efficient he was, I dont know the exact number but I know he had less than 95 pitches thrown.
  6. Reese Mcguire would really make me mad. Bryant, Appel, Gray, Stewart and if Manaea finishes strong would all be good picks. We need pitchers, you cant be an elite team if you dont have a strong roto. I keep hearing the Twins are gonna take Stewart.
  7. Im pretty sure it was a HR, I dont know what you saw but I saw the ball bounce off of Willinghams wrist and hop over the wall. If it lands on top of the wall its a HR, it didnt hit the wall then climb up it and roll over.
  8. Its not just Mauer, Mornea is hitting .300 and has 29RBI which puts him on pace for around 115 but people are complaining about HRs and XBH. Hes driving in runs when he has the chance. I also didnt like the story telling that much either. Yea one here and there is ok but at some points they got carried away. And I dont like how they interupt eachother here and there. Its still a great Podcast and I will listen in the future.
  9. I agree 100%, this is one of those seasons that you just want to finish and move on to next year.
  10. Thanks for posting, I listened to it all and really liked it.
  11. I didnt know every little thing I said was going to get cretiqued. Theres a bunch of different Leagues in AAA and I called it a conference which isnt a big deal. I guess sarcasm was the best way to acknowledge that...
  12. I think the Twins may draft him just because he is more ready than Stewart.
  13. You guys are trying to hard to sound right. SF would have had no shot at winning the WS without Posey and Bumgarnerm they got them because they had horrible seasons. Im not saying the Twins should purposley tank Im just saying it would make more sense to get a top pick. Most of the players on the team wont even be here in 2-3 years, this season is worthless. We need as many young guys on small contracts playing like all stars as we can get if we wanna win the WS one day. We have a great group of prospects that could make that happen and we still have the 4th pick this year. Why not get another top 5 pick that could be an ace or a great hitter? I know it doesnt always work out but its what we have to do. And once our prospects are up and we are contenders we will be looking to FA for veterans to give us depth. Theres alot of things a team must do to win a WS but the most important is to develop your best players through the draft.
  14. The Tribe has young guys like Kipnis and Santana making barely any money playing like all stars, and guys like Reynolds and Masterson playing like MVPs on pretty small contracts. Thats the kind of baseball the Twins want to be playing, if we have a ton of young guys on small contracts playing like all stars we have a shot to win a WS.
  15. Nobody said it was a garuntee, im just saying thats the Twins best shot at winning a WS. They need to get as much high end talent together at once and hope most of them reach their potential around the same time. It has failed but it has worked very well to like with SF, WSH, TB, TEX and now BAL is getting really good too.
  16. CHC and COL have a couple nice pieces but none of them or us have good pitching right now. I know Appel or Gray wont fall to us but I wish one of them would. They are both close to being in the bigs already, but if we took Stewart hes several year away atleast. I still think we should take him because of his potential.
  17. Gibson is in the international league conference in AAA.
  18. The Twins cant spend 140+ MIL year on payroll like BOS, and they did get rid of most of the veterans last year and this offseason. Kubel, Cuddyer, Nathan, Revere and Span were all moved for the rebuild. This sink to the bottom was necessary to be successful in the future. Thats what almost every team has to go through to get back to the top. Like I said BAL, SF, WSH, TB, TEX and others all did the same thing. BAL got Wieters and Machado in their bad years, SF got Bumgarner and Posey in theirs, WSH got Harper and Strasburg and Zimmerman in theirs.... Yea it doesnt always work but for the Twins to be successful with a small payroll they have to emulate what those teams did. Now we have Buxton and a 4th pick from being bad, and Berrios from a compensatory pick we got when we let Cuddyer go and we traded for Meyer. The Fans will love watching all of these young guys trickle in and in a couple years they could be competing for the playoffs.
  19. Right, in his conference only him and another guy have thrown a SO and only he has 2. I cant help but be excited we might of finaly found our first good top of the roto pitcher since Santana left
  20. Wouldnt that be awesome if we got Gray or Appel? I could see HOU making a deal for sure, maybe for Moran or a top prep bat? I have been seeing more and more rumors about HOU making a deal, hopefully theres some truth to them!
  21. I think it would be better if they lose a ton of games and get another top 5 pick. I mean they have no shot at the playoffs so it doesnt make sense to be a mediocre team that gets a bad pick. Most of the players on the team wont even be here in 2-3 years anyways, this season is pretty much worthless so why not get a great pick and a potential great player? Alot of really good teams now were near the bottom for several years and because of that they got great players and are now among the leagues best teams. SF, TB, BAL, PIT, WSH and TEX are all good examples. WSH had back to back 1st overall picks and got Harper and Strasburg, they also got Zimmerman in the top 5 a couple years earlier. They would not be the same team without those 3 players.
  22. With HOU hiring Reid Ryan as their president a few days ago theres no way they dont take Appel or Gray, he even said that pitching was the key to winning. Maybe his dad could play on the team?
  23. That 2nd question was me, ha.
  24. I think he should of been up here 2 weeks ago. Hopefully todays game will get him up here.
